Causus Husty (コーサス・ハスティー Kōsasu Hasutī) was the king of Shugodom and the previous Ohkuwagata Ohger (オオクワガタオージャー ŌkuwagataŌjā). He is the father of Rcules Husty.
History[]
Causus was the previous King of Shugodom before being succeeded by Rcules. He's shown to seemingly continuing Shugodom’s 2000 years tradition of serving the Uchu King, Dagded Dujardin. Although in reality, Causus knew this act of service will culminate in the demise of Dagded himself.
One day, when Causus and his wife granted an audience with the Uchu King, Causus asked Dagded to bestow him a great destructive power to annihilate his enemies. Dagded then implanted his creation into the queen's womb, resulting in the birth of Gira Husty. Deeming Gira as a 'miracle child', Causus hid the truth of Gira's origin to most people.
During the Wrath of Gods, Causus ordered Rcules to (unknowingly) feed the God Kuwagata Soul to Gira in the form of a gelatinous dessert later known as Rainbow Jururira. Causus also tells Rcules the whole truth regarding of Shugodom’s lip service to Dagded, since his time is running out due to an existing illness.
Once Rcules does as Causus ordered, Rcules asked the reason of the said act. Causus explained that the reason for the previous order was so that Gira can be utilized as a tool to permanently end Dagded’s reign of terror. Causus also revealed that once Gira consumes more Shugod souls, he'll forget his origin as a human and become completely obedient, much to Rcules’ horror.
As if to prove Causus’ point, Gira entered a frenzied state due to the side effect of consuming a Shugod Soul. Gira started to exhibit Dagded’s mannerisms and his desire to rule the world. Causus then ordered Rcules to discard his emotion and sees Gira as a tool, citing that unless Dagded is permanently exterminated, humanity had no hope whatsoever. Rcules ended up refusing to see his younger brother as a tool and flee away with Gira in hand. Seeing Rcules’ brotherly love to Gira, Causus murmured in private that he also wanted to protect his family, Gira included.
Causus as Ohkuwagata Ohger
Not long after, Glodi and Kamejim, now taking the form of the recently slain Boshimar, manages to invade the throne room. Despite Causus’ attempt to fight them, his illness proven to be a hindrance as he starts coughing up blood to his OhgerCalibur ZERO. However, the blood actually manages to awaken the said weapon, allowing Causus to transform into Ohkuwagata Ohger.
Ultimately, despite his newfound power, Causus is slain during the battle, forcing Rcules to become the new King of Shugodom.
Personality[]
Causus presented himself as a benevolent ruler, who prioritized his people above himself and his family. As a result, Causus had little difficulties to use every method, including his attempt to turn his son, Gira Husty into a tool to exterminate Dagded. Although ultimately, Causus himself showed regret to his actions. Causus was also shown to be affectionate to his family and people who serve him, such as Rcules and Boshimar.

- Rcules Husty/Ohkuwagata Ohger - Rcules shown to highly respect Causus as both father and king, with the latter also showing trust to his son, enough for him to tell the truth of Shugodom lip service to Dagded Dujardin. Causus’ demise at the hand of Uchu also becomes the sole driving force for Rcules to concoct 17 years of planning to permanently defeat Dagded, not to mention that Rcules also inherited the OhgerCalibur ZERO from his father.
- Gira Husty/Kuwagata Ohger - Causus originally thought that Gira was his son and considered him a miracle child. Until at an unknown point during Gira’s upbringing that he realized that Gira was probably the result of his request of power from Dagded Dujardin and confirmed it when he feed Gira God Kuwagata’s soul. As a result, he started to see Gira as just a tool to defeat Dagded Dujardin and wanted to make him eat more Shugod Souls so he could become the mindless puppet he was meant to be. He even urged Rcules to discard his emotions, so that Rcules can use Gira as a tool if Causus passed away. However, deep down, Causus also wanted to protect his family, including Gira.

- Boshimar - One of Causus's servants alongside Duuga, dubbed as the Twin Swords. Boshimar uphold his duty as Causus servant (and by extension, to Husty Family) with utmost seriousness. As such, when Kamejim murdered Boshimar and took his form, Causus become visibly enraged.

- Causus Husty is portrayed by Shido Nakamura II (二代目 中村 獅童 Nidaime Nakamura Shidō), who previously portrayed Reiniol Husty. As Ohkuwagata Ohger, his suit actor is Yasuhiko Imai (今井 靖彦 Imai Yasuhiko).
