After Tommy's morphing sequence was detected by Zordon, Zordon sent the rest of the Rangers to fight the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Tommy fled from the battle. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers assumed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Ninja Turtles thought that the Power Rangers were bad guys too and the two teams fought.
