Sun Vulcan (team)

Sun Vulcan are a Super Sentai team that initally composed of an air force officer, a navy officer, and a army officer. It was formed by the Guardians of World Peace to fight the Machine Empire Black Magma.

Sun Vulcan joined up with Battle Fever, Denzimen, Goggle V, Dynamen, Biomen, Changemen, Flashmen, Maskmen, and the Livemen, to stand behind the newest Sentai, the Turborangers, as they faced off against the Hundred Boma Tribes. TV STORY-Counting on You! Turboranger

Gokaiger

Years later, the Space Empire Zangyack invaded Earth. This threat was so great that all of the first 34 Super Sentai, including Sun Vulcan, were needed to oppose them. The 34 Sentai put up a valiant fight against the ground forces, but when the Zangyack fleet itself attacked them, Akarenger told everyone to combine their powers and save the Earth. This destroyed the Zangyack fleet and resulted in the loss of their powers, which resurfaced as Ranger Keys, that were dispersed throughout the universe.

The keys were collected by AkaRed, and later utilized by the 35th Super Sentai, the Gokaigers, a group of five people from different planets who came to Earth in search of the Greatest Treasure in the Universe. TV STORY-Ep. 1: The Space Pirates Appear The greater power of Sun Vulcan was initially taken by Basco ta Jolokia, but was granted to the Gokaigers by Takayuki after Basco's death. TV STORY-Ep. 49: The Greatest Treasure in the Universe After the Gokaigers finally defeated Zangyack, they returned the Ranger Keys before they left Earth to find the second Greatest Treasure in the Universe. Super Hero Taisen

Sun Vulcan, among the majority of the "Super Sentai" heroes, were caught up in the "Super Hero Taisen" incident which eventually resulted in the Super Sentai teams and Kamen Riders joining forces to defeat both Dai-Zangyack and Dai-Shocker. TV STORY-Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen

Sun Vulcan Stage Show at Super Hero Korakuen Yuenchi

In a stage show where the Sun Vulcan are seen fighting Machine Empire Black Magma, DenziRed, DenziGreen, Battle Kenya, Kamen Rider Super-1, Kamen Rider Stronger, Kamen Rider V3, and Ultraman Taro arrive to assist the Sun Vulcan.

Ranger Keys

The Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan Ranger Keys (太陽戦隊サンバルカンレンジャーキー, Taiyō Sentai San Barukan Renjā Kī) are what became of the Sun Vulcan team's powers after they along with the rest of the 34 Super Sentai sacrificed their powers to end the Great Legend War.

Any of these keys allow a Gokaiger to assume the form of any of the Sun Vulcans. The Greater Power of this Sentai Group was stolen by Basco, but was later retrieved when Basco was defeated after he infused the Greater Power into the Sun Vulcan Keys.

• Sun Vulcan are the first Sentai team to have a combining Robo, Sun Vulcan Robo.
• They are the first and only team where the core team is all-male, though at the time of this series, the three colors of Red, Blue and Yellow were always male whenever used.
• They are the first Sentai team to have a core team of less than 5 (3), followed by the Abarangers (4).
  • If you count the Gouraigers and Shurikenger as their own organization, then the Hurricanegers are the only other team to match this feat.
• They are the first Sentai team without a Pink Ranger, followed by the Livemen, Jetmen, Kakurangers, Gaorangers, Hurricanegers, Abarangers, Gekirangers, Go-Ongers, and Go-Busters.
• They are the first team with neither a Green or Black Ranger, followed by the Gekirangers and Go-Busters.
