History
Sun Vulcan
Ryusuke Owashi was called away to pilot a special NASA mission, and so pilot and swordsman Takayuki Hiba took his position as VulRed.
The Snack Safari chef Sukehachi Yazawa correctly suspected the identities of Sun Vulcan. Playing off of this, the Zero Girls posed as an unofficial ally to the Solar Squadron and staged a fake audition for him to join their ranks. They outfitted him with a radio transmitter. Using this, Crystal Monger was able to break into the top portion of Sun Vulcan's base. Sun Vulcan was able to trick him into sneaking into the their pool, where they captured him. TV STORY-Ep. 28: Is Sukehachi Friend or Foe?
Sun Vulcan was temporarily defeated by Rose Monger, Black Magma's top fencer who possessed a sword technique that surpassed that of the Sun Vulcan Robo's finisher. Until Takayuki Hiba could diagram her attack, Tokyo was defended by the White Rose Fencer. TV STORY-Ep. 29: Pretty Swordsman, White Rose Mask
When Curse Monger summoned three ghosts (Count Dracula, Jeanne d'Arc, and Billy the Kid) that the Solar Squadron could not touch, Sun Vulcan was humiliated. Sun Vulcan was able to defeat them in Hell and rehabilitated their souls.
Sun Vulcan was charged with the defense of a Denzian descendant when Satan Monger killed psychics throughout Tokyo. TV STORY-Ep. 36: The ESPer
Sun Vulcan was officially a secret team, so its members could not freely share their identities with friends or family. As a result, Asao Hyou's father only knew that he had departed the Guardians of World Peace ranger squadron. His father came to Snack Safari to learn more about his son's supposed failure, and ended up facing Daizaburo Arashiyama in a battle of cuisine instead. When this was interrupted by Totem Pole Monger and Sun Vulcan had to leave to face him, Amazon Killer was able to exploit the clandestine nature of Sun Vulcan, posing as a detective to convince Mr. Hyou that Sun Vulcan was a terrorist organization. With Commander Arashiyama's blessing, Asao took his father to a bathhouse and confessed his identity as VulPanther. Asao's father would attempt to return to Hiba from Tokyo Station, but be captured by Amazon Killer. Asao was blackmailed to fight Totem Pole Monger alone in a chained-together axe duel, but left traces of Vulcan oxident from his vehicle so the other members of Sun Vulcan could track him down. Asao is nearly killed by Totem Pole Monger's giant axe, but his father is able to free himself from his bindings and knock out enough Machinemen that it gives enough time for the Sun Vulcan squadron to arrive. TV STORY-Ep. 38: Asao Hyou's Dad-Lord
Turboranger
Sun Vulcan joined up with Battle Fever, Denzimen, Goggle-V, Dynamen, Biomen, Changemen, Flashmen, Maskmen, and the Livemen, to stand behind the newest Sentai, the Turborangers, as they faced off against the Hundred Boma Tribes. TV STORY-Counting on You! Turboranger
Gokaiger
Years later, the Space Empire Zangyack invaded Earth. This threat was so great that all of the first 34 Super Sentai, including Sun Vulcan, were needed to oppose them. The 34 Sentai put up a valiant fight against the ground forces, but when the Zangyack fleet itself attacked them, Akarenger told everyone to combine their powers and save the Earth. This destroyed the Zangyack fleet and resulted in the loss of their powers, which resurfaced as Ranger Keys, that were dispersed throughout the universe.
The keys were collected by AkaRed, and later utilized by the 35th Super Sentai, the Gokaigers, a group of five people from different planets who came to Earth in search of the Greatest Treasure in the Universe. TV STORY-Ep. 1: The Space Pirates Appear The greater power of Sun Vulcan was initially taken by Basco ta Jolokia, but was granted to the Gokaigers by Takayuki after Basco's death. TV STORY-Ep. 49: The Greatest Treasure in the Universe After the Gokaigers finally defeated Zangyack, they returned the Ranger Keys before they left Earth to find the second Greatest Treasure in the Universe. Takayuki saluted the Gokaigers as he received his Ranger Key. The rest of his team presumably got their powers as well. TV STORY-Final Ep.: Farewell Space Pirates
Super Hero Taisen
Sun Vulcan, among the majority of the Super Sentai heroes, were caught up in the "Super Hero Taisen" incident. They were presumably sent to the dimensional rift, under the pretense of being defeated, by Kamen Rider Decade while he was apparently hunting the Sentai teams. When his and Captain Marvelous' ruse was revealed, Sun Vulcan appeared with the other Super Sentai through the dimensional wall, they then fought alongside all the other Sentai teams and Kamen Riders against the alliance of Dai-Shocker and Dai-Zangyack. Zyuohger
The Space Pirates Return
Evidently, Sun Vulcan loaned their Ranger Keys - at the request of Gai Ikari - to the Gokaigers whom had temporarily returned to Earth to find and bestow the Great King's Credential to the Zyuohgers. TV STORY-Ep. 28: The Space Pirates Return Their powers were returned when the Gokaigers left for space once more having achieved their quest. TV STORY-Ep. 29: The Monarch of the Monarchs
Zyuohger vs. Ninninger
VulEagle appeared as part of a conference of the first 38 Reds whom addressed the Ninningers and Zyuohgers. TV STORY-Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger vs. Ninninger: Message from the Future from Super Sentai
Zenkaiger
A manifestation of the Sun Vulcan team was summoned by Zenkaizer through the Sun Vulcan Sentai Gear which allowed Zenkaizer, Gaon, and Vroon to use the Vulcan Ball against the Kudakks turned invisible by Invisible World. TV STORY-No. 17-kai! Nununu Occult Club!
The manifestations of the Sun Vulcan team was re-summoned by Zenkaizer through the Sun Vulcan Sentai Gear again this time in a volleyball match against Vacances World. TV STORY-No. 24-kai! The Invasion is Complete! Can You Recapture it?!
