Team History

After the destruction of the Power Chamber and loss of the Turbo powers, T.J., Carlos, Ashley, Cassie, and Alpha 6 left Earth to rescue Zordon. While in space, they came across a mysterious spaceship. After being pulled inside by a tractor beam, they discovered it belonged to the Red Space Ranger, Andros. The ship was then attacked by Astronema, and crashed. After much urging, Andros allowed the others to help him, and gave them the Astro Morphers, allowing them to become Space Rangers. After the battle, the team set out to repair the Megaship and search for Zordon. They encountered resistance from the United Alliance of Evil, often having to return to Earth to defend it from their attacks. After many adventures, they discovered the Silver Ranger, Zhane, locked in a cryogenic tube. He was eventually released, and joined the Rangers. When the Alliance launched their invasion, the Rangers fought to defend Earth. However, the Alliance's numbers proved too much for them, and they were forced to retreat. Andros sneaked onto the Dark Fortress in hopes of freeing his sister, while the rest of the Rangers battled the remaining forces, with help from the civilians. They defeated the Alliance when Andros smashed Zordon's tube, releasing the Z-Wave. This destroyed or changed all the members of the Alliance, and ended the invasion. After the battle, the Rangers assisted in the restoration of KO-35, and returned home.

Eventually, the Rangers returned to aid the Galaxy Rangers when Deviot unleashed the Psycho Rangers to destroy them. They were mostly successful, but Psycho Pink managed to survive. After a battle, Kendrix Morgan sacrificed her life to stop Psycho Pink and save Cassie. The Space Rangers departed after this, presumably returning to Earth.

Split History

Shattered Grid

Lord Drakkon splintered the timeline and travelled to the split dimension the Space Rangers are in. He hijacked the Astro Megaship and destroyed Alpha 6. T.J., who Andros has sent for repairs, while the rest retired for the night, is in a separate section of the ship. as Drakkon's Sentries attack, the rest of the Space Rangers battle him. T.J. initiates Megazord mode and opens airlocks to try and stop Drakkon's Sentries, but Drakkon goes after him in the lack of gravity. He severs T.J.'s safety line and T.J. is left to float out in space. Drakkon and his Sentries leave as they have what they came for; the Morphers of the Space Rangers. After having his Morpher reinforced by Doctor K, Andros evidently participated in an advance towards Drakkon's Tower on the Moon in the World of the Coinless, engaging a large army of Ranger Sentries. Comicicon.png COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 30

  • This is the first and only team where all six Rangers have amazingly similar helmets (save for the colors). Every other seasons featured differences in sculpt, patterns or in the shape of the visor. The helmets in this season were almost identical, except for discreet differences in visor design on the sides of their helmets. Red: four sharp corners, top corners slightly longer than bottom. Blue: four sharp corners, bottom corners slightly longer than top. Pink: rounded corners. Yellow: six sharp corners. Black: eight corners. Silver: sides with inverted triangles. S.P.D. would arguably be another example in which the helmets look almost identical.
  • In the top parts of the helmets, blue-colored images of technology (a desktop computer for Andros, a communications satellite for Carlos, a television set for TJ, a digital camera for Ashley and a cell phone for Cassie) were embedded and would occasionally been seen to light up, primarily during the morphing sequence; whenever these would light up in combat, typically it would be referred to as their "Lightstar helmet mode" (providing tracking and scanning abilities, largely used by Cassie and Ashley). The reason for this is unexplained; in Megaranger, their suits were themed around then-modern Earth technology and therefore possessed abilities based on these devices.
  • This is the first team that has the Rangers wearing uniforms in civilian identity.
  • This also was the last team to employ the built-in teleportation ability seen in all the previous seasons until the Mega Rangers.
  • This was the first series to have a Ranger with an individual power while in civilian form (Andros the Red Space Ranger and Zhane the Silver Ranger were gifted with telekinesis). This trend would eventually be repeated starting with Wind Rangers on through Jungle Fury Rangers.
  • This is the first team to feature a Red Ranger that receives Battlizer Armor.
  • This was the first team to feature a Ranger receiving an additional vehicle after their first - in this case, the Silver Ranger receiving the Galactic Rover.
  • It is the first team to not have any Ranger leave some time during their tenure.
  • The Space Rangers are the second ranger team to not have a mentor
  • This is the first Power Ranger team to have 2 Rangers from different seasons to guest star (Mighty Morphin Black Ranger and Blue Turbo Ranger).
  • This is also the last season until Operation Overdrive and Megaforce to feature the original Red, Black, Blue, Yellow and Pink main team formation.
  • The first Season where it is led by a human alien Ranger consist human members within the original core team prior to a Sixth Ranger's appearance, followed by Dino Fury Rangers.
