Sentai Yellow

This article is about a set of Rangers in the Super Sentai series.

Toeifile-yellow — A Toei classification showing all protagonist Yellow Rangers up to *Gokaiger*.

The Yellow Sentai Ranger (黄色い戦隊レンジャー, Kiiroi Sentai Renjā) or Yellow Warrior (黄色い戦士, Kiiroi Senshi) is a designation given to one character in nearly all of the Super Sentai seasons.

Yellow as a designation is unisex and the third most frequent color after Red and Blue. The only series not to feature Yellow Rangers are J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, Battle Fever J, Dengeki Sentai Changeman, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, and Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger, as two White Rangers had to take the place of a Yellow Ranger at one point followed by an Orange Ranger and then 2 Black Rangers. Yellow Rangers are usually the powerhouses of their group; however recent usage of Yellow as a female Ranger has led to possible perceptions of the color being a "feminine color". Yellow Rangers are also shown to be the team's morale boosters and are the most composed members of the team.

Since the introduction of the team with two women in Choudenshi Bioman, the Yellow color is usually reserved for female Rangers in later installments, with some exceptions; only six teams (Jetman, Magiranger, Ninninger, Zyuohger, Kyuranger and Kiramager) have had two females but Yellow males. Despite these aforementioned facts, there has always been more male yellow rangers than females.

A common misconception among the Sentai Yellow rangers is that all Sentai Yellow rangers are huge food lovers and big eaters of the all time favourite Japanese dish, Curry Rice. However, it has been stated that this is just a misconception as the only two Sentai Yellow rangers who are actual huge lovers and big eaters of the dish are Kirenger from Gorenger and VulPanther from Sun Vulcan - although Kajiki Yellow from Kyuranger is an aspiring chef.

Main Sentai Yellow

These are Rangers who belong on the main team, and are the main characters of the show. They are also the first to appear as that specific color designation for the team.

These are Rangers who, while belonging with the main team, are also the second to appear as that specific color designation for the team.

Mika Kouzumi (Yuki Yajima) is Yellow4 in Choudenshi Bioman. After she is killed, she is replaced by Jun Yabuki (Sumiko Tanaka).

- Kotoha was preceded by her unnamed mother, Shinken Yellow XVII. By her number, there were sixteen ShinkenYellows before her.

Moune (Mikiho Niwa) is Gosei Yellow in Tensou Sentai Goseiger.
Luka Millfy (Mao Ichimichi) is Gokai Yellow in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. Being a Gokaiger, she is able to assume the form of past Yellow Rangers via the Ranger Keys.
- Also, though not Yellow Rangers themselves, the other five Gokaigers: Captain Marvelous (Gokai Red), Joe Gibken (Gokai Blue), Don Dogoier (Gokai Green), Ahim de Famille (Gokai Pink), and Gai Ikari (Gokai Silver), have all changed into past Yellow Rangers via the Ranger Keys in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
