Redecoed Sentai Rangers

This article is about a type of ranger in the Super Sentai series.

This category lists Rangers from Super Sentai who are redecoes or repaints of previous Rangers. Some have minor retools or variations in their outfits, but mostly the same helmet sculpt. They tend to appear in specials such as Sentai epilogue movies. Several suits have story reasons for looking similar although there are likely budgetary reasons, as most only appear in one film/a few episodes and not long enough to justify a completely new suit (like the Rangers of a whole series).

Magis was generally assumed to be one. However, technically he was never seen with his helmet up close until box art for the Ranger key toyline was released, with a unique helmet.

Isamu Ozu (Tsutomu Isobe) is Wolzard Fire in Mahou Sentai Magiranger. He is a redeco of the original Wolzard suit, with the purple turned red to represent the power of Wolzard now being completely under Isamu's control. He is the first redecoed ranger that did not originate in a sentai epilogue movie/special.
Takeshi Kuroki (Hideo Sakaki) is Black Puma in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Returns vs. Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters. He is a redeco of Red Cheetah, itself being a modified Red Buster. There is no reason for the redeco other than to expand the character roster, and his cheetah helmet is easily identifiable also as a puma.
Atsushi Domyoji (Tatsuhisa Suzuki) is Green Hippopotamus in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Returns vs. Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters. He is a redeco of Blue Gorilla, itself being a modified Blue Buster. There is no reason for the redeco other than to expand the character roster, and his gorilla helmet is easily identifiable also as a hippo, with the addition of ears.
Yosuke Shiina (Shun Shioya) is HurricaneDark in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger: 10 YEARS AFTER. He is a redeco of his HurricaneRed Ranger form, but colored black to depict him going rogue. However this is only for the helmet, since he wears a ninja outfit that is not Hurricaneger-like.
Dai-kun (Ryo Ryusei) is KyoryuNavy in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Returns: 100 YEARS AFTER. he is a redeco of Deathryuger, keeping the suit design but with the red paint mostly being replaced with silver, to denote his powers being used for good.
Banban Akaza (Ryuuji Sainei) is DekaRed Fire in Tokuso Sentai Dekaranger: 10 YEARS AFTER. The suit design of DekaRed remains intact but he keeps the SWAT vest of his SWAT form in rust colors.
Right Suzuki (Jun Shishon) is both ToQ 1gou of the Darkness and ToQ 1gou of the Rainbow in Ressha Sentai ToQger. Both suits are based on the suit granted to users of Red Ressha, but with different color schemes.
- ToQ 1gou of the Darkness replaces the red with black, denoting Right being tainted with darkness after multiple clashes with Dark Emperor Zet.
- ToQ 1gou of the Rainbow replaces the red with the colors of all six ToQgers, denoting Right having linked the powers of all six members of the team.
The Conductor (Tsutomu Sekine) is ToQ 7gou in Ressha Sentai ToQger Returns: Super ToQ 7gou of Dreams. He is a redeco of ToQ 6gou, using the same technology initially developed for his transformation in the first place, but in purple. The lines are however unique.
Yami No 0gou (Kenichi Suzumura) in Ressha Sentai ToQger Final Live Tour 2015 wears the ToQ 1gou of the Darkness suit, but with the 1 on the chest removed, denoting his powers not being derived from the Rainbow Line, simply imitating them.
Yoshitaka Igasaki (Takashi Sasano) is Elder AkaNinger in Shuriken Sentai Ninninger. He wears the base AkaNinger costume, but with a gold sash with a unique design to denote his status as the Last Ninja.
Tsumuji Igasaki (Toshihiro Yashiba) is Whirlwind AkaNinger in Shuriken Sentai Ninninger. He wears the base AkaNinger costume, but with a silver sash with the logo in red to denote his reclaimed Nintality.
Yoshiharu Igasaki (Tatsuki Ishikawa) is Future AkaNinger in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger vs. Ninninger: Message from the Future from Super Sentai. He wears the base AkaNinger costume, but with a gold sash with the logo in red to denote his status as the heir to the mantle of AkaNinger.
Dark AkaNinger (Makoto Furukawa) in Shuriken Sentai Ninninger vs. ToQger The Movie: Ninjas in Wonderland wears the base AkaNinger costume, but the sash, arms, and boots are black to denote his status as a dark clone of AkaNinger.
Luna Kokonoe (Megumi Han) is MidoNinger/NinninGreen in Come Back! Shuriken Sentai Ninninger: Ninnin Girls vs. Boys FINAL WARS. She is a redeco of AkaNinger but with female Ninninger costume. AkaNinger and MidoNinger were originally designed as a pair but Kyuemon never got to use his shuriken as intended.
Bud (Kohei Murakami) is Zyuoh Bird in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. His suit is a redeco of Zyuoh Eagle. The muted red, resulting in orange, as well as muted blacks, resulting in purples, denote the power drain that occured when he gave some of his Zyuman powers to Yamato, while the gold cuffs denote part of his power coming from the energy of the Earth itself.
- Zyuoh Condor is the Fused form of Zyuoh Eagle and Zyuoh Bird in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger Returns: Life Received! The Earth's Monarchs' Decisive Battle! The overall suit is same as Zyuoh Eagle, only different in color, violet. The helmet has silver mouth same as Zyuoh Bird.
Shou Ronpo is Ryu Violet in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger. The suit is created by taking the chestplate and helmet from the Ryu Commander suit and adding them to the ToQ 7gou costume, denoting the form's incomplete state.
Seto is Ryusoul Brown in Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger. The overall suit is same as Gaisoulg, only different in color, Brown.
Flint Goldtsuiker (Hinami Mori) is Twokai Flint.
Taro Momoi is Don Momotaro (White). The suit is identical to the regular version, but the red has become white to denote his loss of memories following his mission's completion.
Rcules Husty (Masato Yano) is Ohkuwagata Ohger in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. The overall suit is the same as Kuwagata Ohger, only colored silver instead of red.
Daigoro Kiryu (Rintaro Kawana) is King Kyoryu Red in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. The base suit is the same as Kyoryu Red Carnival, but with a new chest piece and cape, to denote that God Kuwagata also empowers Daigoro.
