Team History
RPM
In the near future of an alternate universe, the corrupt military organization Alphabet Soup commissioned Project Ranger:
- "Developing exoskeleton robotic suits to amplify human strength and speed. We were attempting to harness the human body's natural electric output ... when we had a breakthrough: the discovery of a universal bioelectrical energy field, an unseen energy grid that connects the lifeforce of all living things."
- ―Doctor K, "Rain"[src]
The mysterious and sinister Venjix Computer Network attacked humanity three years later, conquering and devastating almost the entire planet. Fortunately, mankind has retreated from the threat into environmentally-shielded dome city of Corinth. Doctor K escaped Venjix forces to Corinth and assembled an elite force of Rangers, operating an arsenal of radically advanced biotech vehicles.
The first three suits were the Ranger Prototype Series Covert Infantry Biosuits (Dillon questioned why they were brightly colored if meant as "covert"). TV STORY-Rain The Series Green operator was looked for in Corinth, while the Ranger Operator Series Black was left unused as nobody could "handle the Series Black biohardware". TV STORY-Fade to Black The Gold and Silver Series were "classified". TV STORY-Doctor K
Unlike other Ranger powers, the RPM series had power level limitations. Operators could run out of power during combat, TV STORY-Rain and morphers needed to be remotely charged up by Doctor K's systems. A demorphed Ziggy was unable to remorph even after a short fight without K charging it up. TV STORY-If Venjix Won
In the ruins of Alphabet Soup, a prototype Ranger helmet was found that resembled the Operation Overdrive Power Rangers.
After the final battle, the Ranger morphers were left unusable: Venjix was trapped within them. TV STORY-Danger and Destiny
Samurai
During the Venjix war, the RPM Red Ranger pursued Professor Cog to the main Power Rangers universe. He teamed up with the Samurai Rangers to defeat Cog, who he found to be far too "old school" but respected as a team. (During his trip, he stayed morphed in case he couldn't breathe the air in their world) TV STORY-Clash of the Red Rangers
The episode talked about the siege of Corinth as contemporary and Cog refers to "my master". This means "Clash" is taking place sometime before "End Game" - meaning Power Rangers RPM takes place during Power Rangers Super Samurai.
Super Megaforce
The Ranger Operators returned as part of the army of Legendary Rangers that helped the Mega Rangers defeat the Armada once and for all, fighting in a huge battle against hundreds of X Borgs and dozens of Bruisers. TV STORY-Legendary Battle
