Introduction
- "A computer virus has built armies of robotic soldiers and taken control of our world. But there is still one place where we can be safe. The domed city of Corinth. And the only hope we have left is..."
- ―Doctor K[src]
- "In another dimension, where robots are threatening humanity, the RPM Rangers are the last hope to protect their world against evil."
- ―Narrator[src]
Team History
RPM
In the near future of an alternate universe, the corrupt military organization Alphabet Soup commissioned Project Ranger:
- "Developing exoskeleton robotic suits to amplify human strength and speed. We were attempting to harness the human body's natural electric output ... when we had a breakthrough: the discovery of a universal bioelectrical energy field, an unseen energy grid that connects the lifeforce of all living things."
- ―Doctor K[src]
The mysterious and sinister Venjix Computer Network attacked humanity three years later, conquering and devastating almost the entire planet. Fortunately, mankind has retreated from the threat into environmentally-shielded dome city of Corinth. Doctor K escaped Venjix forces to Corinth and assembled an elite force of Rangers, operating an arsenal of radically advanced biotech vehicles.
The first three suits were the Ranger Prototype Series Covert Infantry Biosuits (Dillon questioned why they were brightly colored if meant as "covert"). TV STORY-Rain The Series Green operator was looked for in Corinth, while the Ranger Operator Series Black was left unused as nobody could "handle the Series Black biohardware". TV STORY-Fade to Black The Gold and Silver Series were "classified". TV STORY-Doctor K
Unlike other Ranger powers, the RPM series had power level limitations. Operators could run out of power during combat, TV STORY-Rain and Morphers needed to be remotely charged up by Doctor K's systems. A demorphed Ziggy was unable to remorph even after a short fight without K charging it up. TV STORY-If Venjix Won
In the ruins of Alphabet Soup, a prototype Ranger helmet was found that resembled the Operation Overdrive Power Rangers.
After the final battle, the Ranger Morphers were left unusable: Venjix was trapped within them. TV STORY-Danger and Destiny
Samurai
During the Venjix war, the RPM Red Ranger pursued Professor Cog to the main Power Rangers universe. He teamed up with the Samurai Rangers to defeat Cog, who he found to be far too "old school" but respected as a team. (During his trip, he stayed morphed in case he couldn't breathe the air in their world) TV STORY-Clash of the Red Rangers
The episode talked about the siege of Corinth as contemporary and Cog refers to "my master". This means "Clash" is taking place sometime before "End Game" - meaning Power Rangers RPM takes place during Power Rangers Super Samurai.
Super Megaforce
The Ranger Operators returned as part of the army of Legendary Rangers that helped the Mega Rangers defeat the Armada once and for all, fighting in a huge battle against hundreds of X Borgs and dozens of Bruisers. TV STORY-Legendary Battle
Super Ninja Steel
Sometime after Venjix was defeated, Gemma met Wesley Collins and Koda, Rangers from different dimensions. Trusted with a Transportal Device, she first made contact with the Ninja Steel Rangers by informing them of the Blaze Zord Stars, disguised as a cloaked stranger, along with Wes and Koda.
When Rangers were being kidnapped by Lord Draven, Gemma, along with Wes, Koda, and the Ninja Steel Rangers, freed them from captivity and at the end she joined the fight to defeat Lord Draven's Robo Ranger army.
Beast Morphers
Sometime before the show, some Cell Shift Morphers that the team used were donated to Grid Battleforce in the Prime Dimension, later the whole catalog of Morphers from the Ranger Operators made it to the organization. TV STORY-The Evox Snare TV STORY-Source Code
During his research in the Ranger archives, Devon Daniels finds the information that's in another dimension, Doctor K was able to stop the virus process of changing Ranger Operator Series Black into a cyborg, Devon found records of the old team and managed to make contact with their mentor to ask for guidance in separating Evox and Mayor Adam Daniels. TV STORY-The Evox Snare
When Evox and Venjix were revealed to be the same entity that was released once the Cell Shift Morpher that contained him was used by a young Nate while he was trying to create new Ranger technology, Doctor K decided to return and provide assistance to Nate so that he can make up for his mistakes as she once did when she created the Venjix Virus but managed to save her home universe by creating the Ranger technology. Split History
Shattered Grid
Lord Drakkon and his sentries arrive at the domed city of Corinth. While the Sentries attack the Ranger Operators and de-power Dillon with the Black Dragon Cannon, Drakkon tries to sway Doctor K into joining him. Doctor K shoots him only to discover he is a Venjix decoy. Scott is able to destroy the Black Dragon cannon. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2018 Annual
Ziggy is able to steal the Black Dragon Cannon and Doctor K is able to reverse engineer it to counteract its effects. Doctor K is also able to pick up on Zordon's message regarding Drakkon's attack. She tells the Ranger in Zordon's world of what they've accomplished before they get cut off. Jason and Lauren head to Corinth to find her. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 27
Later, the Ranger Operators, including Dillon, are all back at full strength and are fighting off a second wave of Sentries when Jason and Lauren arrive to help. The Rangers are all surprised to see a third wave of Sentries led by Lord Drakkon himself, who has powered up with the Zeo Crystal as well, and has brought with him Koragg, the Psycho Rangers, and the A-Squad Rangers.
After Doctor K reinforced the Morphers of the other Ranger teams, the Ranger Operators participated in an advance towards Drakkon's Tower on the Moon in the World of the Coinless, engaging a large army of Ranger Sentries. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 30
