Power Rangers is a comic book series published by BOOM! Studios. It is a spinoff of the modern alternate retelling of the TV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers which occurs some time after Shattered Grid. It ran concurrently with the Mighty Morphin title. It served as a replacement to the Go Go Power Rangers title but with the timescale synchronized to the present instead of the past tying and building to current continuity events.
While Mighty Morphin focused on the titular Rangers of Earth, Power Rangers focused on other heroes who bear the Power Rangers name. The initial run starred the Omega Rangers and their intergalactic adventures.
Charge To 100 saw the conclusion of both Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers as they celebrated 100 issues of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics at Boom! Studios. A new era kicked off in the returning MMPR series with new writer and former Director of Power Rangers Development and Production, Melissa Flores working alongside series artist Simona Di Gianfelice.
Synopsis[]
The issues of the book so far tie into the Unlimited Power arc spanning between the two titles and its predecessor comic it replaced, where the Rangers must prepare to face a massive cosmic threat capable of annihilating entire solar systems.
The Eltarian War deals with the fallout of the events of "Unlimited Power", with Eltar in the midst of a galactic conflict and the relationships between the Power Rangers and Zordon being at its most turbulent point ever. It introduces the second Blue Omega Ranger and the return of Lord Zedd as the main threat to the universe.
Charge To 100/The Death Ranger arc first released in April 2022 and introduced The Death Ranger as the Mighty Morphin and Omega Rangers join forces to battle cosmic threats.
