- "Generative! (
生成! Jenereitibu!)" - ―A No.1 Monster upon creation
The No.1 Monsters (ノーワン怪人 Nō Wan Kaijin) are the monsters of the No One World Bridan in No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. They are created based on a human's desire and then possesses said human from within.
Overview[]
No.1 Monsters are sent to the human world through ring-shaped objects. They project circular signals using those objects towards the desired host before capturing them into their hollow domain. The ring would rotate numerous times before the host is bound and surrounded by limbs of the designated No.1 Monster. The limbs would attach, possessing the host, and words would be written on a card to create a trophy belt that the monster would wear, thus completing the transformation process. In order to defeat the No.1 Monsters, the human host needs to be separated from the monster before they can destroy the No.1 Monster.
According to Bouquet, No.1 Monsters are incomplete when they come to the human world, which necessitates their needs to possess humans with desires similar to theirs and obtain their full form in order to survive, with Bouquet herself classified the incomplete No.1 Monsters as Parasites. If a host dies, the generation process will be interrupted and they might be unstable; as shown to Demon No.1. TV STORY-Ep. 12: Demon, Roar!!

Behind the Scenes[]

Design[]
- The lower halves of the No.1 Monsters sport a belt buckle that resembles the kind from a pro wrestler's championship belt.
- The upper halves of the No.1 Monsters are based on different items (namely objects and professions) that relate to their Number 1 status.
- Their animal motifs are taken from a misinterpretation/misrecognition of the word it is used when it was being created, either in Japanese or English. In example, Manners No.1 (マナーノーワン Manā Nō Wan)'s animal motif is a manatee (マナティー Manatī), while Onigokko No.1 (鬼ごっこノーワン Onigokko Nō Wan)'s animal motif is a sea otter (ラッコ Rakko).[1]
Etymology[]
Like previous Sentai seasons with simple naming schemes (such as Gaiark's Barbaric Machine Beasts), any given No.1 Monster's name is composed of "personal proficiency" and "No.1".
Notes[]
- Tamotsu Shinohara revealed a week after the airing of episode 15 that he used AI to create the concepts and ideas for the No.1 Monsters, grabbing various concepts from the generated items to base the design from rather than using the fully generated image concepts for the full design.[2][3]
