Although they were referred to as the Morlocks in promotional material, this reference was never made in the show. They were also known as the Forces of Darkness.

  • 'Morlocks' are a race of subterranean people living in the far future in H.G. Wells' novel, The Time Machine. They cannibalize the above-ground people, the Eloi. The Morlocks in Power Rangers are also subterranean and villainous, but that's where the similarity ends. See: Morlocks on the Time Machine Wiki.
