The Donbrothers (ドンブラザーズ, Donburazāzu) are the 46th Super Sentai.

Overview

The Donbrothers are a team of five that include a leader from origins unknown to four otherwise regular people. However, since joining the team, most of the Donbrothers have suffered severe misfortunes in their civilian lives:

• Taro's kindness and constant correcting of how people do their daily tasks led to his neighbors to attempt to drive him out of town. When that failed, they left instead, leaving Taro alone and sad.
• Shinichi's house began receiving localized earthquakes. However, unlike the others, he has no issues with it.
• Haruka's manga series, First Love Hero, was prematurely canceled after she was accused of plagiarism, leading to her public reputation being ruined by both friends and fans alike.
• Tsubasa was wrongfully labeled a wanted fugitive, leading to him being on the run from the authorities.
• Tsuyoshi seemingly suffers from the least misfortune compared to the other Rangers. However, he can still fall victim to potential misfortune, as his wife Miho Kijino was briefly hospitalized after Tsuyoshi was promoted at his workplace.

• Each of the five Donbrothers' civilian names follow a certain naming scheme, where their last names contain a kanji referring to their individual Ranger motif:
  • Taro Momoi contains the kanji for "peach" (桃, Momo). In addition, his full name is the name of Momotaro with an additional "井" (I) dividing up the two halves of the name, "Momo" and "Taro".
  • Shinichi Saruhara contains the kanji for "monkey" (猿, Saru).
  • Haruka Kito contains the kanji for "oni" (鬼, Oni), though it takes the on'yomi pronunciation of "ki" instead.
  • Tsubasa Inuzuka contains the kanji for "dog" (犬, Inu).
  • Tsuyoshi Kijino contains the kanji for "pheasant" (雉, Kiji).
• The Donbrothers have little knowledge about each other's civilian identities, unlike most Super Sentai teams.
