This article is about a/an villainous army in Power Rangers Turbo, the third season in the Zordon Era , and Power Rangers in Space. |
- "Piranhatrons. Monsters. Fateful followers. You all know the reason we are here! The ruination of my plan to dominate the universe must be avenged! The Power Rangers will pay dearly! Their beloved Earth will become mine! Are you with me?!"
- ―Divatox rallying her forces at the start of the series.[src]
Divatox's Crew as its name suggests, were a crew of space pirates led by their captain Divatox who served as the main antagonistic force of Power Rangers Turbo. They initially wanted to bring back the demon Maligore to pillage the universe but decided to destroy Angel Grove for revenge afterwards.
Group History[]
Past[]
Divatox was at some point adopted by Mama D and an unnamed male many years ago. Divatox was also in a relationship with Pharaoh, and they became engaged but Pharaoh called the engagement off, and left her at the altar altar. 900 years later, she ordered a space base from her brother, General Havoc. Divatox's Crew were unique among other evil factions because they do not rule over a galaxy-spanning empire but instead travel the universe in their Subcraft, robbing and pillaging every planet they pass for their valuables.
Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie[]
Divatox journeys to the planet Liaria to capture the wizard Lerigot as she plans to take him to the ancient lost island of Muiranthias on Earth, where she would resurrect and marry the demon Maligore with the intention of using his power to steal all the riches in the universe. Divatox captured former Power Rangers Jason Lee Scott and Kimberly Ann Hart to serve as sacrifices for Maligore. Divatox coerces the Rangers into surrendering Lerigot in order to save Jason and Kimberly but Divatox double-crosses them and manages to capture Lerigot, using his magic to allow her submarine safe passage through the Nemesis Triangle. Along the way, she discovered that the Zeo Rangers have gained new powers and become the Turbo Rangers who are in pursuit on the Ghost Galleon so she tries to destroy them with torpedoes. Although she destroys the Ghost Galleon, She calls Rita Repulsa (currently retired) for advice on how to destroy the Rangers but Rita could merely laughs and recommends that Divatox run away, leaving her disgusted. Once on Muranthias, Divatox attempts to awaken Maligore but the Turbo Rangers crash the ceremony and free Lerigot and his family who are able to release Jason and Kimberly from their evil brainwashing. The Rangers then destroy Maligore with the Turbo Megazord which makes Divatox furious and she swears revenge against the Rangers and becomes obsessed with destroying them by any means necessary. Turbo[]
Divatox rallies her forces and travels to Earth in hopes of destroying the Rangers and conquering their planet out of spite. Along the way, Divatox manages to uncover the Rangers' secret identities and tries and fails to sabotage the Rangers' graduation ceremony but fails although Elgar does turn Bulk and Skull into chimps. She later tries to trap Zordon and Alpha 5 in a wormhole using Amphibidor but this fails and they are replaced by Dimitria of Inquiris. TV STORY-Shift Into Turbo
Some time later, the Blue Senturion arrives from the future with a message for Dimitria but his crashed ship is found by Divatox instead. Taking advantage of her close resemblance, Divatox poses as Dimitria by modifying her voice in order to receive the message. It reveals that she will combine forces with Rita, Lord Zedd as well as the Machine Empire and together they conquer the universe. Divatox, however, viewes this as a threat as she does not want to share the universe's riches with the other forces of evil. She also learns that a team of heroes will eventually pose a threat to the alliance so Divatox swear to prevent the prophecy from coming to pass although this is never followed up on. TV STORY-The Millennium Message
After a meeting with Mamma D, Divatox nearly succeeds in destroying the Rangers and Angel Grove with the help of Flamite but Earth's heroes are aided by four teenagers who eventually take the places of Tommy, Katherine, Tanya and Adam who decide to move on with their lives by going to college. They sellect T.J. Johnson, Carlos Vallerte, Ashley Hammond and Cassie Chan as replacements with Justin staying on the team as the Blue Ranger. TV STORY-Passing the Torch
Divatox enlists the help of her brother General Havoc in her battle against the Turbo Rangers but still her plans fail. She is able to capture the Turbo Megazord with the Metallosaurus and obtain the Phantom Ranger's Power Ruby, combining the two to do battle with the Rangers' Rescue Megazord but the Rangers reclaim the Zords and destroy Crosspatch. Eventually, after the destruction of the Divazords, Divatox sends the all-powerful titan Goldgoyle to destroy the Power Rangers. Goldgoyle destroy both the Turbo and Rescue Megazords but is also destroyed in the process. Meanwhile, her minions Elgar and Rygog stumble upon the location of the Power Chamber by seeing the Rangers teleporting and report it back to Divatox who sends her entire army of Piranhatrons to destroy it. The Power Chamber is destroyed by bombs but not before Dimitria and Blue Senturion left to help repel an attack on Zordon's homeworld of Eltar. Divatox orders her army to search the rubble to ensure the Rangers have been destroyed but is called away to the Cimmerian Planet by the messenger of Dark Specter the Grand Monarch of Evil. In Space[]
Despite not ruling over large amounts of planets, Divatox's Crew are still prominent members of the United Alliance of Evil. In spite of being forced to abandon her search, Divatox remains the talk of the galaxy for her destruction of the Power Chamber much to Rita's chagrin. She and Rita initially lobby for the job of going after the Space Rangers after Andros invades the conference but are turned down by Dark Specter in favor of Astronema. TV STORY-From Out of Nowhere
Divatox is tasked with hiding Zordon on other planets whilst his powers were being drained. Divatox takes him to the planet Hercuron but flees when spotted by the Phantom Ranger whilst the Crocoviles prevent the Space Rangers from intervening. TV STORY-The Delta Discovery
Storm Blaster, one of two sentient vehicles captured by Divatox during her invasion of the Power Chamber, manages to escape whilst being transported. She asks Astronema for help but ultimately loses both Storm Blaster and Lightning Cruiser to the Rangers. TV STORY-True Blue to the Rescue
During Dark Specter's final invasion, Divatox is sent to attack Gratha, a planet protected by the Aquitian Rangers. She is outraged when Astronema takes over as Queen of all Evil after Dark Specter's demise but continues her invasion nonetheless. When Andros shatters Zordon's energy tube, the resulting wave destroys the majority of the universe's evil forces but "purifies" others instead. Divatox is among those purified into humanity along with Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd which renders this organization defunct. TV STORY-Countdown to Destruction
Legacy[]
Divatox is featured in a chronicle of Power Ranger history compiled by Tommy shortly after he forms the Dino Rangers which is found by the nascent Ranger team in the Dino Lab. TV STORY-Legacy of Power
Members[]
Notes[]
- This faction was the only faction to be introduced in a movie but later carried over to the main series.
- Not counting Rita's temporary relocation of her Moon Palace to Angel Grove during "Doomsday," Divatox and her crew were the first faction to have their base located on earth as the Subcraft was located in Angel Grove Lake for the first half of Turbo.
- They were the only villains to relocate their base of operations mid-season.
- Divatox's crew had the biggest number of evil Zords at their disposal. Divatox attacked with the Metallosaurus, the Terrorzord and the three Divazords, as well as temporarily having control of the Turbo Megazord.
- Each member except Divatox (who was purified to human) was (presumably) destroyed at the end of Power Rangers In Space.
