This article is about an organization in Super Hero Taisen, a film in the Super Sentai series. |
Dai-Zangyack (大ザンギャック Dai Zangyakku) was a large fleet led by former member of the Red Pirate Gang and Gokaigers Emperor Marvelous. They served as the main antagonists of Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen.
Group History[]
Captain Marvelous betrays the Gokaigers and rebuilds the Space Empire Zangyack as he assumes the title as their emperor and renames it "Dai-Zangyack" (大ザンギャック Dai Zangyakku), formed from the remnants of the dissolved Zangyack Empire and the conglomeration of all Super Sentai villains, in order to take down the Kamen Riders to obtain their Great Powers, and the Dai-Shocker group led by Tsukasa Kadoya/Kamen Rider Decade. With many revived Super Sentai villains under his command, Captain Marvelous plans to obtain the Greater Power of the Kamen Riders to gain the "Ultimate Treasure in the Universe" (宇宙最高のお宝 Uchū Saikō no Otakara). Under his command are several of the villains that the Super Sentai 199 have won against. This goal pits him against Tsukasa Kadoya and his Dai-Shocker army, as well as putting the greater Super Sentai and Kamen Rider communities right in the middle. After the timeline is restored, Captain Marvelous turns against Dai-Zangyack, who elect Bio Hunter Silva as thier leader and join forces with Dai-Shocker to destroy Super Sentai and the Kamen Riders. Upon learning this, the Kamen Riders and the Super Sentai teams all join forces in order to stop their respective enemies once and for all.

Behind the scenes[]
Origin[]
- Dai-Zangyack was created for Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen, the first theatrical crossover between Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, as Sentai's answer to Dai-Shocker. Dai-Zangyack was introduced as a collection of old and new Sentai villains, just as Dai-Shocker was a collection of villains from the Kamen Rider Series.
Etymology[]
- Dai-Zangyack's name had the same format as Dai-Shocker, the name of a villain group from Kamen Rider with "Dai" (大 Dai, "Great") added on the front.
Notes[]
- Despite the death of actress Machiko Soga, there were plans for Queen Hedrian, who had served as a major villain in both Denshi Sentai Denziman and Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan, to return in Super Hero Taisen. Due to her death, these plans were abandoned. [1]
