This article is about a list of all the standard-issue weapons and devices in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. |
This page lists all the weapons, devices, and vehicles used by the Gokaigers. Below is the inventory, which also reflects on the Gokaiger series page as well as the team page of the Gokaigers.
Transformation Devices[]
Mobilates[]
The Mobilates (モバイレーツ Mobairētsu)allow the Gokaigers to transform into their costumes or other Ranger forms.
Gokai Cellular[]
The Gokai Cellular (ゴーカイセルラー Gōkai Serurā) allows Gai Ikari to transform into Gokai Silver or other Ranger forms.
Suits[]
Gokaiger Ranger Keys[]
The Ranger Keys (レンジャーキー Renjā Kī) are both the source of the powers for the Gokaiger as well as the suits which they use for their own and all other borrowed Sentai powers. Their own personal Ranger Key allows for a suit similar to their own Gokaiger designation to form around their bodies which they use for combat. Whenever another Ranger Key is activated, that suit and helmet temporarily replaces their own and allows for the Gokaiger to access all powers and abilities associated with the Ranger and the team they are wearing.
Multi-Use Devices[]
Ranger Keys[]
- Main Article: Ranger Keys
The Ranger Keys (レンジャーキー Renjā Kī) are physical manifestations of the powers of the prior Super Sentai teams which were lost and scattered across space following the defeat of the first Zangyack invasion at the climax of the Legend War. In addition to using them to assume the forms and power of past Sentai heroes, the Gokaigers can also use them to further enhance their own Final Wave attacks. Other variants are Rider Keys, Buddy Roid Keys, Megazord Keys, Phantom Ranger Keys and Metal Hero Keys
Sidearms (Gokai Weapons)[]
The Gokai Weapons are the sidearms of the Gokaigers. When a Gokai Change is initiated, the Gokai Weapons are able to transform with the Gokaiger into the weapons of whatever Sentai team they become. Without them, the Gokaiger have to use Sentai that specialize in hand-to-hand combat. When in their normal form, the Gokai weapons are able to initiate one of several finishing moves unique to the Gokaigers called Final Waves (ファイナルウェーブ Finaru Uēbu) which are triggered by pressing the Gokaiger logo to raise the weapons' Gokai Cylinders (ゴーカイシリンダー Gōkai Shirindā) out of their slot and inserting a ranger key into the cylinder.
Gokai Saber[]
- "Final Wave!"
- ―Finisher announcement when inserting a Ranger Key in the Gokai Saber.[src]
Gokai Saber (ゴーカイサーベル Gōkai Sāberu): The Gokai Saber is the Gokaigers' primary melee-combat sidearm, resembling a cutlass with a built-in grappling hook and a Gokai Cylinder in the back of the blade triggered by pressing the Gokaiger logo on its hilt.
Its Final Wave attack is the Gokai Slash (ゴーカイスラッシュ Gōkai Surasshu) where a Ranger Key is inserted into the Gokai Cylinder mounted behind the blade, allowing the Gokai Sabre to perform either an energized slash or fire an energy blade by swinging the sword.
In battle Gokai Blue and Gokai Yellow will typically trade their Gokai Guns with Gokai Green and Pink for their Gokai Sabers.
In one episode, Gokai Blue used all five Gokai Sabers with five Blue Ranger Keys with Water-Elemental Powers in a special attack called Blue Slash.
With Silver in Gold Mode and the Hurricanegers, the Gokaigers were able to perform the group attack Gokai Super Ninpou: Hurricane Scramble (ゴーカイ超忍法・ハリケンスクランブル Gōkai Chō Ninpō: Hariken Sukuranburu).
Gokai Gun[]
- "Final Wave!"
- ―Finisher announcement when inserting a Ranger Key in the Gokai Gun.[src]
Gokai Gun (ゴーカイガン Gōkai Gan): The Gokai Gun is the Gokaigers' primary ranged-combat sidearm, resembling a flintlock pistol. Unlike the firearms of other Sentai teams and keeping with Gokaiger's pirate motif, the Gokai Gun fires energized metal balls instead of laser blasts. In battle, Gokai Green and Pink will typically trade their Gokai Sabers with Gokai Blue and yellow for dual Gokai Guns.
By pressing the Gokaiger logo on the gun's side, a Gokai Cylinder is raised up from the lock; allowing a Ranger Key to be inserted into it to fire a supercharged bullet called the Gokai Blast (ゴーカイブラスト Gōkai Burasuto) Final Wave. The Gokai Gun's power can be enhanced even further by utilizing them in tandem with the Gokai Sabers in the Gokai Blast and Slash (ゴーカイブラストアンドスラッシュ Gōkai Burasuto ando Surasshu) Final Wave where two keys, one for each weapon (usually the Gokaigers' own key in one and the corresponding Gorenger key in the other), are utilized to perform a Gokai Blast augmented with a Gokai Slash energy blade flung from the Gokai Sabers.
Following their defeat at the hands of Basco during the acquirement of the Ohrangers' Great Power, Doc attempted to add a second Gokai Cylinder to his Gokai Gun in order to use more than one Ranger Key and increase its power. But after two shots, it overloaded and fried the Gokai Cylinders, forcing Doc to abandon the idea in favor of creating the Gokai Galleon Buster.
In addition to Blast and Slash, the Gokai Guns can be used with the Gokai Sabers in the team finisher Gokai Scramble (ゴーカイスクランブル Gōkai Sukuranburu); where Gokai Blue and Yellow each perform a double Gokai Slash, Gokai Green and Pink each perform a double Gokai Blast, and Gokai Red performs a Blast and Slash.
Gokai Spear[]
- "Final Wave!"
- ―Finisher announcement when inserting a Ranger Key in the Gokai Spear(or any of its modes).[src]
Gokai Spear (ゴーカイスピア Gōkai Supia): The Gokai Spear is Gokai Silver's personal weapon, able to change from its trident-like Spear Mode (スピアモード Supia Mōdo) to either the rifle-like Gun Mode (ガンモード Gan Mōdo) or the Gold Mode-exclusive Anchor Mode (アンカーモード Ankā Mōdo).
- In Gun Mode, Gai uses a Ranger Key (usually his own or one of the other Sixth Ranger Keys) to perform the Gokai Supernova (ゴーカイスーパーノヴァ Gōkai Sūpānova) attack, firing a super-charged bullet. This finisher could be further powered by a Gokai Slash for the Gokai Supernova and Slash (ゴーカイスーパーノヴァンドスラッシュ Gōkai Sūpānova ando Surasshu) attack.
- In Spear Mode, Gai uses a Ranger Key to perform the Gokai Shooting Star (ゴーカイシューティングスター Gōkai Shūtingu Sutā) attack where Gokai Silver throws the Gokai Spear like a javelin through the opponent.
- When Gai is in Gold Mode, the Spear transforms into its Anchor Mode, allowing him to perform the Gokai Legendream (ゴーカイレジェンドリーム Gōkai Rejendorīmu) attack, summoning the spirits of 7 of the past Sixth Rangers (MegaSilver, Bouken Silver, GaoSilver, Gosei Knight, Go-On Gold, Go-On Silver, and MagiShine), who along with Gai fire energy blasts that transform into the remaining 8 past Sixth Rangers (KingRanger, DekaBreak, Shinken Gold, KibaRanger, DragonRanger, Shurikenger , AbareKiller, and TimeFire) who attack the opponent before Gai finishes them off with a double anchor slash.
- Gai can also perform a variant of this in the form of the Gokai Legend Crash (ゴーカイレジェンドクラッシュ Gōkai Rejendo Kurasshu) while in Gold Mode, summoning the spirits of all the previous Silver Rangers and Go-On Gold to attack the opponent alongside him.
- In the finale, Gai used a variation of the Gokai Legend Crash when he used a slash empowered by all of the previous Sixth Rangers.
Team Cannons[]
Super Sentai Bazooka[]
Super Sentai Bazooka (スーパー戦隊バズーカ Sūpā Sentai Bazūka): The Super Sentai Bazooka is a cannon used by the Gokaigers and Goseigers that was created by the first 33 Super Sentai teams' power and spirit. It appears in Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle and was used to defeat the giant Black Cross King, who would then transform into the Black Cross Colossus.
It fires a beam of intense energy formed from the collective power of the 35 Sentai, the beam making up the team symbols of the 35 teams, ending with the 35th Anniversary symbol.
This is the only one of the Gokaigers' weapons without a Ranger Key slot.
In Kamen Sentai Gorider, the Super Sentai Bazooka was used by the Goriders as the Gorider Bazooka (ゴライダーバズーカ Goraidā Bazūka) to defeat Kamen Rider Genm.
Gokai Galleon Buster[]
The Gokai Galleon Buster (ゴーカイガレオンバスター Gōkai Gareon Basutā) is a double-barreled heavy cannon in the shape of the Gokai Galleon. It is created by Don after tinkering with the Gokai Guns to use more than one Ranger Key per weapon. At first, he was only able to create the handle with two barrels and five Gokai Cylinders, but per Gai's suggestion and comparison with the Ohrangers' Olé Bazooka, he uses the Greater Power of the Ohrangers and after turning all five keys, they transform it into the Gokai Galleon Buster.
In its default state, the "sail" lays flat against the "deck" and the Gokai Cylinders swivel to the side to resemble cannon ports. If no Ranger Keys are inserted, the Gokai Galleon Buster can be used as a double barreled machinegun with greater firepower than all five Gokai Guns combined. To access the finisher state, the black lever underneath is pulled back akin to a pump-action shotgun, deploying the sail and Cylinders upward. Once five Ranger Keys have been set into the Gokai Cylinders, it is able to a fire an energy blast in the shape of the Gokai Galleon's bow called Rising Strike (ライジングストライク Raijingu Sutoraiku) that rams through the opponent.
Typically, the five main Gokaiger keys are used to empower the weapon. On occasions where one of the core five are absent, their place can be taken by Gokai Silver; as when Gai took Gokai Blue's place during a fight with the Dogormin while Joe was fighting Barizorg. TV STORY-Ep. 37: The Strongest Fighting Machine
It can recognize what kind of Key is inserted into the back Cylinder, as when the Gokai Red Ranger Key was inserted, it announces Red Charge (レッドチャージ Reddo Chāji). A Pink Charge (ピンクチャージ Pinku Chāji), Green Charge (グリーンチャージ Gurīn Chāji) and Blue Charge (ブルーチャージ Burū Chāji) have also been shown. If the Gokai Pink Key is used, the energy strike changes from yellow to hot pink. If the Gokai Green Key is used, the energy strike is changed from yellow to lime green. If the Gokai Blue Key is used, the energy strike is changed from yellow to dark blue. When the Gokai Silver Key is inserted, rather than the expected Silver Charge (シルバーチャージ Shirubā Chāji), it announces Special Charge (スペシャルチャージ Supesharu Chāji) and when fired, the energy strike changes from yellow to silver.
During the climax of the final battle with Zangyack Emperor Ackdos Gill, Gai managed to impale Ackdos with the bowsprit of the Gokai Galleon Buster before inserting his Gokai Silver Key to perform the Showy Wave (派手にウェーブ Hade ni Wēbu) finisher, firing a Rising Strike at point blank range to finally kill the Zangyack Emperor. TV STORY-Final Ep.: Farewell Space Pirates
When using non-Super Sentai Keys in the Gokai Galleon Buster, it results in a unique finishing attack. With the Kamen Rider OOO Keys, it announces Tajadol Charge (タジャドルチャージ Tajadoru Chāji). With the Metal Hero Keys, it announces Special Metal Charge (スペシャルメタルチャージ Supesharu Metaru Chāji) and activates the Metallic Strike finisher.
Aside from it's variations on TV and in the movies, the toy reveals that indeed the Gokai Yellow key can be used for a Yellow Charge (イエローチャージ Ierō Chāji). Should a non-Gokaiger key be used, the Buster would announce whatever charge it would be: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink, and strangely Black. While any other color (including Silver) results in a Special Charge.
