This article is about an episode in Mirai Sentai Timeranger. |
An Artistic Explosion (芸術に爆発を Geijutsu ni Bakuhatsu o) is the eighth episode of Mirai Sentai Timeranger.
Synopsis
When an amateur artist is targeted by the Londarz for his paintings that will become famous & valuable in the 30th century, it's up to Yuri & her friends to protect him to the best of their ability.
Plot
The start of the episode shows the Timerangers looking for a lost dog when they encounter Nakobov, a hijacker assigned to steal the artist's paintings. The artist falls in love at first sight with Yuri & reveals his name: Toba Kenji. The 30th century Timerangers are excited to see one of the last great artists to come from the 20th century.
Toba begins talking about his lack of inspiration & plans to quit painting until Yuri steps in & says she's willing to model for him. During the painting, Kenji says he can't paint because TimePink's heart isn't opening up for him right before the hijacker returns to kidnap him so Lira can force him to paint her portrait.
As the Timerangers try to figure out a way to get him back, Tatsuya snaps at Yuri for manipulating the artist's feelings. Meanwhile, Toba refuses to paint Lira's portrait & is about to be executed when the Timerangers arrive on time to save him. Yuri apologizes to him & the Timerangers transform for battle. After the fight scene with the monster & a giant robot fight, Yuri speaks to Kenji one last time, pushing him onto the train just before the artist could confess his feelings for her & the episode ends with the boys chasing after her to get a look at Yuri's portrait.
