To an Infinite Tomorrow (無限の明日へ Mugen no Ashita e) is the fiftieth and final episode of Mirai Sentai Timeranger. This episode marks as the final part of the four-part series finale.

Synopsis[]

Naoto is gone. Tatsuya fights a losing battle alone, but not for long as Yuri and the others return to save the 20th century. Have they doomed the 30th century in the process? The Timerangers must find a way to save both centuries to ensure their tomorrow.

Plot[]

Tatsuya continues to fight alone against Gien's army to prevent the Great Annihilation in the 21st century while Yuri, Ayase, Domon, and Sion prepare to return from the 31st century to aid him. Wataru Asami is informed that Naoto has been killed and that Tatsuya possesses the V-Commander. Knowing that his son will never stop fighting, Wataru declines to order the City Guardians to interfere.

In 3001, the four Timerangers evade capture by the Time Defense Bureau and reunite with Tac. Tac reminds them that they cannot remain in the 21st century, as their knowledge of that era will soon expire, but Yuri insists that they want to return anyway. The group devises a plan to steal the Time Jets and retrieve the Chrono Changers while Captain Ryuya Asami demands that they not be allowed to leave. Sion tells Yuri that the Time Jets can't travel back more than exactly 1,000 years, and they must hurry to make it back before the 21st century is wiped out. Ayase attempts to gather data on the Great Annihilation before Ryuya corners him.

Ryuya holds Ayase at gunpoint and tries to convince him to betray the others, insisting that he can only survive if he remains in the 31st century. Ayase declares that he wants to live on his own terms and wrestles Ryuya to grab his weapon. The other three arrive to see that Ryuya was shot during the scuffle. Tac reveals that Ryuya is the real TimeFire and the real pilot of V-Rex. Ryuya, bleeding from his wound, reveals that during the failed G-Zord test six years prior, he was thrown into space-time, where he witnessed two alternate histories: the "right" one, in which the Lambda-2000 from Gien and V-Rex causes the Great Annihilation of the 21st century, and the "wrong" one, in which Gien is killed by the G-Zord and the 30th century disappears as a result. Only one thing stayed the same in both histories: Ryuya was sent back in time as TimeFire to pilot V-Rex and died in battle. Ryuya explains that he had to change his own fate in order to correct history and save the 30th century. Sion deduces that Ryuya had Naoto become TimeFire instead of him for this reason. Ryuya insists that one person's life is just a minor detail in history. Sion rebukes Ryuya for manipulating history to benefit himself, arguing that innocent people's lives are not just minor details. Ryuya claims that if the others knew that they were going to die and that they could change their fates, they would do the same. Ayase realizes that Ryuya wanted to change his tomorrow just as they did. Ryuya laments that despite his efforts, his fate is still the same, and he succumbs to his wound. The four Timerangers board the Time Jet and prepare to launch through the time portal.

In 2001, Tatsuya and V-Rex are overwhelmed by Neo Crisis and the Zenitts. The time portal begins to open again, and the civilians believe that the Great Annihilation is about to occur. Tatsuya is shocked to see the Time Jet appear through the portal, and the Gamma Tornado maneuver temporarily incapacitates Neo Crisis. TimePink, Blue, Yellow, and Green arrive to aid Tatsuya in battle once more. Tatsuya questions why the others came back; they remark that the future was changed and the new 31st century is terrible. Yuri insists that she is choosing the path she wants, and the others agree.

Yuri states that they must come up with a plan before Gien reactivates Neo Crisis. Sion explains that they must convert V-Rex's Lambda-2000 into Zeta-3 by raising its internal temperature and then disintegrate Gien's Lamba-2000 by using V-Rex's Max Burning attack. However, he must make adjustments to the DV Defender first. Tatsuya reveals that he has the V-Commander, confirming that Naoto really is dead. Tatsuya somberly states that he wants to change what Naoto could not, and he gives the V-Commander to Sion. Domon reunites with Honami and embraces her for the last time.

Gien reactivates Neo Crisis and resumes his rampage. The five Timerangers morph for the final battle. TimeRed uses the DV Defender on V-Rex while the others distract Neo Crisis. Gien seemingly doesn't remember the Timerangers despite their numerous encounters. TimeRed successfully turns V-Rex's Lambda-2000 into Zeta-3 and uses Max Burning to obliterate Neo Crisis. Gien wonders where Dolnero is and tries to count money before dying and vanishing. With the Great Annihilation successfully prevented, the Timerangers briefly celebrate their victory until a new time portal appears. Inside the portal, the four future Timerangers reveal that they must return to the new 31st century. Tatsuya wonders if the future has changed again, but Ayase insists that it shouldn't be bad since they all created the new future together. The four Timerangers disappear one by one as they say their goodbyes. Tatsuya confesses to Yuri that he loves her, and the two tearfully embrace. Before Yuri disappears, she insists that they are not really separated and that their timelines are now one.

One year later, Tatsuya goes out for a jog and checks in on Honami and her new baby, whom he refers to as Domon Jr. Tatsuya admits to his father that he may accept his family name someday, but for now he wants to live his own way for Naoto's sake. During his jog, Tatsuya encounters various individuals who resemble the other Timerangers. Tatsuya declares that even though he won't live to see the 31st century, he will always be connected to Yuri, Ayase, Domon, and Sion through the tomorrows that he will create.
