A Lie Soaked in Rain (雨に濡れた嘘 Ame ni Nureta Uso) is the thirty-ninth episode of Mirai Sentai Timeranger. It is the beginning of a two-part story focusing on Ayase's Osiris Syndrome condition as well as the beginning of a deterioration between Don Dolnero and Gien that will lead to the season's end-game.

Synopsis

Gien releases an extremely virulent Hell's Gate prisoner, forcing the Timeranger and Ayase to weigh their alliances in determining how to stop it's spread.

Plot

Ayase's recent strange behavior has led Tatsuya to believe that Ayase's illness the Osiris Syndrome has gotten worse. Meanwhile Gien has released a dangerous criminal to spread a 30th Century disease the Reda Virus causing Don Dolnero to make an agreement with the Timerangers to provide a vaccine so they could stop Gien. However, to reproduce the vaccine quickly enough they'll need the City Guardians' help. Feeling its his job to save the victims so they would not suffer from an illness like him, Ayase decides to work out the agreement with Naoto, but can Naoto be trusted and put aside his distaste for the Londerz Family to avoid compromising this agreement?
