Behind the Scenes
Portrayal
- He's voiced by Jack Buchanan.
- His suit actor is Manu Reynaud & Kosuke Asai, who also takes this role for another Beast Morphers character - Cruise.
Notes
- Although Captain Chaku's suit is based on Space Sheriff Gavan Type G, there are still minor differences in the suit used in original footage, mainly the colored lights on the helmet that matches the original counterpart.
- Captain Chaku is the second Metal Hero character adapted into a Power Rangers episode, after Sheriff Skyfire in Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel.
- Interestingly, Skyfire held the title of Space Sheriff, which belongs to Chaku's Sentai and Metal Hero counterpart - Space Sheriff Gavan.
- Chaku's name comes from his Sentai and Metal Hero counterpart's transformation command, "Jouchaku" (蒸着 Jōchaku, Deposition).
- To an extent, Captain Chaku is the third Metal Hero character adapted into a Power Rangers episode, after B-Fighters in Power Rangers Wild Force, and Sheriff Skyfire in Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel.
- This isn't the first time a Space Sheriff show has been adapted in America. Uchuu Keiji Shaider was adapted for Season 2 of VR Troopers, ranging from Ryan Steele's second suit and most of the characters from the show, while both Juukou B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto were adapted into both Big Bad Beetleborgs and Beetleborgs Metallix respectively.
- Unlike his Sentai counterpart, Captain Chaku seems to be a cyborg, instead of a person with abilities to morph.
- Chaku was the second character in an American adaptation that originally came from a first installment of a show franchise since Masked Rider Warrior Leader from Saban's Masked Rider (who is a counterpart of Takeshi Hongo, the first Kamen Rider).
- So far, Captain Chaku is the only American adaptation of a Metal Hero character who isn't a human.
- This fact was proven to be true that Sheriff Skyfire has human-looking hands underneath his fingerless gloves, while both Beetleborgs and VR Ryan are young humans. Same goes with the Astralborgs from Beetleborgs Metallix, which were non-humans created from a comic book, while their counterparts were all humans.
