Brax[1] was a famous fighter in Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel. He arrived as a guest on the Warrior Dome and starred as a contestant in the latest season of the hit show Galaxy Warriors.
Character History
He appears with General Tynamon where he is bombarded by Badonna proclaiming her love for him. She even sent him 200 fan letters. He then goes to fight the rangers and pretends to be weak. They then retreat and he goes back to fight them again, this time having no mercy. He watches for them and then goes to battle again, but is destroyed. Badonna gigantifies him and he retreats when she sends 4 Skullgators. TV STORY-Prepare To Fail
Brax is seen when Madame Odius tells him and Badonna that Voltipede was a waste of time, but General Tynamon corrects her, saying that the Rangers lost something during the fight and shows her their Ninja Fusion Star. Odius congratulates Tynamon and adds that with the star in their possession, the Rangers are doomed and the four villains laugh. TV STORY-Car Trouble
Brax accompanies Tynamon to Odius' throne room, where Tynamon demands Odius to hold up her part of their deal. Odius answers he is in no position to make demands, before revealing his secret. Brax is astonished of discovering that his master is a tiny monster in a robot body. Later, he appears on Earth and fights the Rangers as a diversion for Tynamon to brainwash Mick. They attempt to finish him off by trapping him inside the Five Elements Barricade with Brody brandishing the Superstar Blade. Unfortunately, while the Red Ranger is able to hold his own for a time, Brax gets the upper hand and damages Brody's Power Star. As he is about to finish off the Rangers for good, they teleport away, which Brax is fine with, as his diversion has served its purpose. Noting this, he returns to the Warrior Dome Ship. TV STORY-Magic Misfire
He asks Odius for another chance to fight the Rangers but she says that is not needed because her TV show will mind-control the whole world. She then sends Gorrox to battle the Rangers. When he gets defeated, Brax arrives as back-up for him. The pair are gigantified and overpower the Ninja Steel and Ninja Blaze Megazords separately, but the Rangers success to destroy Gorrox with the Ninja Ultrazord, however Brax dodges their attack. Brax then attacks but is weakened by the Ninja Steel Megazord before being finished by the Ninja Blaze Ultrazord.
As he died, he called out to Badonna, apologizing for his failure to defeat the Rangers, before being consumed by an explosion. TV STORY-Doom Signal
Personality
Brax is a barbarian, giving no mercy to his enemies, but gets nervous and shy around Badonna. He is also very loyal to his allies and will do what he can for them with pleasure. He is however very sure of himself, which lead him finally to his downfall.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Sheer 'Strength: Brax is the second strongest villain in all of Ninja Steel (the only one stronger being Odius in her ultimate form), being able to dominate the rangers after tricking them into thinking he was a weakling. He is very strong, beating them in every battle. It took the power of the Superstar Blade and the Ninja Blaze Ultrazord to destroy him forever. He is stronger than Forcefear and Drillion and is on the same level as Galvanax and Madame Odius.
- Durability: Brax had extremely thick skin which was nearly impossible to break through. He took the Ninja Blaster Whiplash, the Red Ninja Strike Steel Slash combined with the Storm Star Tornado Slashes, the Giga Strike of the Ninja Battle Morphers, multiple strikes from Sarah's Lion Fire Frenzy attack using the Super Star Blade, as well as multiple punches and slashes from the Ninja Steel and Ninja Blaze Megazords without being fazed. It took the power of Sarah's Super Star Slash, with the others performing a Steel Slash type move, to destroy him the first time and the Ninja Blaze Firestorm to destroy him once and for all.
- Fireball Blasts-Brax can fire orange fireballs out of his right hand although the damage they could do is unknown as Preston blocked them with his Star Blade.
- Energy Deflection-Brax could deflect Sarah's Arrow Blast with one hand during his second battle against them.
- Power Star Burning: Similar to what Foxatron could do, he managed to burn the Red Ranger's Power Star. This was only done after giving them a through thrashing.
Abilities
- Master Swordsman: Brax was an incredible master with his sword. In the episode "Magic Misfire", despite being encased in a forcefield by the Rangers, he was easily able to overpower the Red Ranger despite him using the Superstar Blade which had destroyed him previously.
- Expert Manipulator: As shown in the episode "Prepare to Fail", he was an expert actor. He convinced the Ninja Rangers that he was an incompetent weakling in order to get them to lower thier guard.
Arsenal
- Sword: Brax is armed with a barbaric sword to battle his enemies. It was destroyed with him,
- Barrier: With his sword, Brax is able to create a dome like barrier to trap his enemies in.
- Energy Redirection: Brax was able to absorb the Ranger's Ninja Blaster Whiplash and Rockshot into his sword and launch them back at them.
- Energy Deflection-Brax can deflect energy back at his enemies using his sword, as shown when the Rangers tried to kill him with thier Mega Morph Cycle's Plasma Blast.
- Energy Flames-Brax's strongest attack. Brax was able to set fire to his blade through unknown means and fling it at his enemies. This was powerful enough to take down all five Rangers and, when used on the Ninja Ultrazord and Ninja Blaze Megazord, Calvin stated that the Zords would not survive another blast.
Behind the Scenes
Portrayal

- His voice is identical to Game Goblin and Wolvermean.
Statistics
- Height: 187 cm (44.9 m: giant)
- Weight: 231 kg (554.4 t: giant)
Notes
- Unlike his Sentai counterpart, he is not related to either Galvanax, Badonna, and Madame Odius and is simply just a general.
- He is instead, apparently, an unrequited love interest for Badonna. But at the moment of his death, he asks Badonna's forgiveness for his failure, meaning that perhaps Brax did return Badonna's feelings.
- Like all the other higher-ups, Brax' face incorporates a mask from Noh theater, specifically a Shikami mask.
- According to Cosmo, he is a legendary warrior of 12 Solar Systems.
- He is the first contestant to be gigantified without the votes from the viewers, and he also had the most skullgators as help, with a total of 4. Brax will have certainly more skullgators if Cosmo did not stop Badonna at this moment.
- Brax has the same number of appearances as Tynamon.
- He's the second of Odius' generals to be destroyed.
- He has multiple hand-like protrusions sprouting from his body.
- Brax shares his name with the dog who plays Hayley Foster's dog, Kody.
