Overview

Battleborgs Power Up!
Rather than hiding on Earth, the Battle Borgs are summoned from the Alien Rangers' Alien Coins and are controlled by a mental link, allowing the Rangers to remain off the battlefield during a fight. The technology allowing a telepathic link between a Battle Borg and its pilot was later utilized in the Red Battlezord. The Battle Borgs' finisher involved the Red Battle Borg being launched as a fireball/comet through the enemy by all of the other Battle Borgs. The finisher was only used to destroy Slotsky.
History
Past
Sometime before the events of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Alien Rangers gained thier Power Coins from Ninjor at the Temple of Power. This granted them access to the Battle Borgs; humanoid Zords similar in appearance to the Shogunzords. Despite thier impressive capabilities, the Battle Borgs failed on multiple occasions against the Aquitar Rangers' nemesis; the Hydro Hog.
Mighty Morphin
After Zordon brings the Aquitar Rangers to Earth after the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were regressed by Master Vile, the Battle Borgs come with them. They are later summoned to fight Professor Longnose and his monster army, easily defeating the monsters before Tommy summons the Shogun Megazord which destroys Longnose. In Space
During Dark Specter's invasion of the universe, the Alien Rangers defend a planet in the M51 Galaxy from invasion by the Evil Space Aliens but are defeated. Notes

- Although Kakuranger footage of the Shogunzords and Battle Borgs appearing onscreen together appeared in advertisements for Mighty Morphin' Alien Rangers, the footage was never actually adapted into any episodes of the show. The way the Battle Borgs had been established, there was no feasible way to have both the Battle Borgs and the Shogunzords operating at the same time.
- This was because their counterparts were just an alternate form for the Shogunzords.
