The Barillian Bug(s) are a scorpion-themed alien species used by Darkonda.

History

A swarm of them once attacked KO-35, turning whoever they stung into monsters. While Ecliptor was preparing an ambush for the Rangers, Darkonda appeared with a Barillian bug (in its insect form). The Bug was able to infect Carlos and he was slowly turned into one. T.J. and Andros went after an antidote on KO-35. Unfortunately, Carlos finished turning into a Barillian Bug and was able to sting Cassie. Andros and T.J. were able to recover the medicine with the latter returning back to the Astro Megaship, reversing the effects on the two by administering the antidote before they could sting Ashley. Darkonda released a final bug that became a monster similar to what Carlos and Cassie became. It was later destroyed by the Astro Megazord. TV STORY-The Barillian Sting

Powers and Abilities

Powers

• Shape-shifting: They are able to shapeshift between a small winged insect form and their regular monster forms.
• Barillian Transmutation: Barillian Bugs can infect other beings to turn them into one of their own.

Abilities

• Strength: They have shown to be quite strong, with both the infected Cassie and Carlos being able to slowly, but surely break into the Astro Megazord bridge.

• Blade Arm: The Barillian Bug's left arm is euipped with a stinger-like blade in place of it's left hand for close-range combat.
