Barakouzza is the Rinshi, who holds the spirit of the Archerfish. He serves Grizzaka. He serves as the main antagonist of the episode "True Friends, True Spirits".

History

Barakouzza served Grizzaka. Grizzaka summoned him and ordered him to attack Ocean Bluff and destroy the Power Rangers.

He attacked the city and encountered the Rangers. Barakouzza could, like a cowboy, fire two water jets from his arms, which also possessed electric shocks.

After a brief fight on the ground, Barakouzza enlarged himself and fought with the Rangers' Zords. However, RJ again transformed into a werewolf and attacked his friends. Barakouzza escaped and returned to Grizzaka, reporting to him.

The monster then returned to the city and attacked the electric station, where he fought only two Jungle Fury Rangers, Theo and Lily. The heroes were quickly outmatched and he summoned Rinshi to battle them. However, Casey and RJ then arrived and aided their friends. After the battle, Barakouzza was destroyed with the attack from the Wolf Morpher.

Grizzaka revived him as a giant using the power of Zocato. Barakouzza fought the Rangers and easily defeated the Wolf Wolf Pride Megazord with his water jets. He was destroyed by the Jungle Master Megazord and Wolf Pride Megazord; the latter dealing the killing blow with its Spin Fury attack. TV STORY-True Friends, True Spirits

Personality

Barakouzza was a cunning, intelligent, and resourceful Rinshi who will stop at nothing on his mission to destroy the Jungle Fury Rangers, but he is faithful to Grizzaka.

Powers

• Barakouzza has shown no powers.

Abilities

• Superhuman Strength: Barakouzza is an immensely powerful monster, easily overwhelming and defeating the Megazords all by himself.
• Durability: During his second Megazord battle, Barakouzza took two massive jump kicks from the Wolf Pride Megazord directly to the chest but didn't even stumble and RJ bounced straight off of him.
• Superhuman Agility: Barakouzza is a very agile monster, easily ducking and dodging blows from the Megazords and Rangers.
• Expert Marksman: Barakouzza is an amazing marksman, being able to fire his water blasts at the Rangers with amazing accuracy.
• Hand-to-Hand Combat: Barakouzza easily defeated the Rangers and their Megazords with his bare hands.
• Rinshi Summoning: Barakouzza can summon an army of Rinshi to aid him in battle.

Weaknesses

• Barakouzza has shown no weaknesses.

Arsenal

• Wrist Water Cannons: Barakouzza has large water cannons mounted on each wrist that he can use to fire water blasts.
  • Electric Water Blasts: Barakouzza can shoot white or blue water with blue lightning within it from his wrist cannons at his enemies. This was his strongest attack as it easily tore apart the Jungle Master and Wolf Pride Megazords and would have finished off RJ had the Jungle Master Megazord not intervened.

Portrayal

• Barakouzza was voiced by Campbell Cooley.
  • Barakouzza's voice sounded similar to Skullington, but with a western accent added to it.

Design

• Barakouzza's design appears to be a cross between an archerfish and a cowboy.

Etymology

• For some reason, Barakouzza's name was based upon a barracuda despite the fact that he used the spirit of an Archerfish.
• Barakouzza's Rinshi form was never seen.
