Ballinger Z (バリンガーＺ Baringā Zetto) is an unused grenade-themed mecha in Gekiso Sentai Carranger. It was originally piloted by President Gynamo to distract the Carrangers. However, it is replaced by Norishiron Final as it was too similar to Mazinger Z, a Super Robot created by Go Nagai in 1972, which could cause copyright problems with Go Nagai's Dynamic Productions, the company that owns Mazinger Z's copyright.

- Despite not being used in Carranger, Ballinger Z's body was partially repainted and combined with the repainted head of Machine Beast Tamer Keris and the hands of Protectron to form Metal Mangler.
- In the promotional pictures, Ballinger Z was seen using the Dinosaur Sword God Horn, the signature weapon of Shinka Gattai Daizyuzin from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.
