However, instead of being stealthy, they are discovered because of Lucky looking for a fight. Balance betrays Lucky by lashing him with his cables, to Naga Ray's surprise, in full view of Jark Matter. However, Balance is shocked when Naga is angered and chooses to stay with Lucky. Balance asks to see the gem as reward and is allowed. He, however steals the gem. Seeing that Naga and Lucky are to be executed immediately, he intervenes by controlling the death trap. Zyuohger vs. Ninninger[]
Through unknown circumstances, the nine Kyurangers made a brief appearance on an Earth where Jark Matter was not present. Instead, the Kyurangers arrived to intervene against the Deathgalien before they could interfere with the Zyuohgers' fight with the Ninningers for the future of Super Sentai against Gillmarda. With Tenbin Gold aiding in wiping out the Meba pack, the Kyurangers eventually forced the Deathgalien to retreat before taking their leave with their appearance observed by the Zyuohger ally Bud, who realized that the future was in safe hands.

Planet Toki[]
Seeking the Kyutama of the Tokei System, the Kyurangers came to the planet Toki and turned the 12 keys needed to unlock it within 30 minutes. Approaching key IV, Balance met an illusion of Naga and, after sharing a greeting with him, turned the key unimpeded.
TV STORY-Space.25: Planet Toki, the Boy's Determination!
Personality[]
At first he seems to be greedy and only cares about treasure, but he is a good person at heart (although he has his treasure-raptured moments). He is flashy, energetic and fast-talking. His flamboyant attitude balances the more neutral demeanor of his partner Naga. In lieu of his title the Trick-Star, he is not shy of being cheeky to both ally and enemy alike.
He has a habit of saying "Goisu!" (Radical!) and "Agepoyo wei!" (I'm so pumped!) whenever he has an interesting idea or whe he is feeling very excited.
Despite his very outward personality, Balance is still quite emotional. When he becomes sad, he often tries to put on a positive demeanor to hide his sorrow. An example was when he had his birthday temporarily stolen and when Naga had been brainwashed to Jark Mater's side.

Balance/Tenbin Gold
Yuki Ono
- Balance is voiced by Yuki Ono (小野 友樹 Ono Yūki), who previously voiced Parabolaloid 2 in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. Ono would voice Granute Le Beet
in Kamen Rider Gavv
. - His suit actor is Masaru Obayashi (大林 勝 Ōbayashi Masaru), in his first Ranger role since Yellow Racer in Gekiso Sentai Carranger.
- In the Korean dub of Kyuranger entitled Power Rangers Galaxy Force, which aired in South Korea, Balance (밸런스 Baelleonseu?) keeps his name, while his ranger designation is Libra Gold (리브라 골드 Libeura Goldeu?). He is voiced by Seo Ban-seok (서반석?), who would voice Kishiryu Tyramigo in Power Rangers Dino Soul.
Design[]
- Tenbin Gold's suit design possesses a more robotic look, his helmet possesses a vent on where the mouth is, and the visor is shaped like a scale to represent his constellation motif.
Etymology[]
Balance: In Japanese, the word balance is often rendered phonetically in katakana as バランス (Baransu), directly borrowed from English. While it does not have a native Japanese origin, the concept of balance aligns with traditional Japanese values like harmony and equilibrium, often expressed through words like 調和 (chōwa, meaning "harmony") or 均衡 (kinkō, meaning "equilibrium"). For a character whose constellation is Libra (天秤座 Tenbin-za), which represents balance and fairness through the symbol of scales, the word バランス (Baransu) fits well. The scales themselves are symbolized by 天秤 (Tenbin), which directly means "scales" and is associated with judgment and fairness. The idea of equilibrium can also be expressed with 均衡 (Kinkō), which signifies balance or symmetry.
The term バランス is frequently used in Japanese media, from sports to video games, to describe characters, strategies, or themes emphasizing harmony and proportionality. For example, a character might embody バランス by excelling in multiple skills or maintaining peace in conflicting situations. This gives the term an association with versatility, fairness, and steadiness in various narratives.
Notes[]
- Of the 88 modern constellations, Balance represents Libra
. - As his constellation theme is Libra, a pair of scales, he is the only Kyuranger who does not have an animal motif.
- His birthday is in March 26.
- At 300 years old, he is the oldest of the Kyurangers.
- Balance has the earliest appearance of all Gold Rangers, having debuted as a ranger in Space.2.
