Bakuage 44: The Deliverer Doesn't Arrive (届け屋が届かない Todoke-ya ga Todokanai) is the forty-fourth episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. It is the first part of the Boonboomger endgame, featuring the first appearances of Waruido Spindo's Captain Style and only appearance of Boonboom Killer Robo Car Jack, and the death of Bundorio Bunderas, who will be revived 4 episodes later.

Synopsis[]

The Boonboomgers have become the enemies of Earth! The Boonboomgers still fight on but are beaten by Spindo. Then Boonboom comes to the rescue. And Naito finally reveals his true nature to Taiya...!

Plot[]

The episode begins with Taiya driving in his car to somewhere. A flashback shows the Boonboomgers in the base as Shirabe checks her laptop and confirms that all of Taiya's assets are about to be transferred to lightning tech. However, she notices that the final decision has yet to be made. Genba figures out that Raita Naito wants to give Taiya a choice. Taiya decides to go to speak to Naito, so Sakito asks him if the others can come as well, but Taiya asks to go there alone. Bundorio asks him to be careful as the flashback ends, and Taiya keeps driving to see his mentor.

Meanwhile, Waruido Spindo and Eiichiro Tokoyari, accompanied by Grantu Risk and Maimi Baisu respectively, negotiate with each other. Tokoyari agrees to Spindo's one non-negotiable demand: That all of the problems that the people of the Earth are facing will not be solved, keeping the planet as an expansive Ghassolin source for Spindo that way. In return, the ISA will recive advanced resouces and tech from the Hashiriyans. Tokoyari adds that he's ready to send the ISA's forces to neutralize the Boonboomgers. Spindo is ecstatic to learn that and waits for his eventual encounter with Bundorio.

Taiya parks his car at an empty hill and gets out to confront Naito. Meanwhile, Mira returns to the Boonboomgers' base and tells her friends that all of her employers have suddenly fired her from her jobs. She then receives a notification on her phone and finds a news report claiming that the Boonboomgers are planning for world domination. The Sanseaters, who are watching the broadcast outside from a TV, find the situation weird since if the Boonboomgers are evil, it'd mean that they're all on the same side. Suddenly, they find Spindo's pet monkey, Shaishai Sarucar, sitting next to them. Back at the Boonboomgers' base, Sakito gets angry at the public for framing them as villains. Byun-D realizes that what Ishiro has said before leaving the team might be true - They're becoming the enemies of the world! Genba makes a connection between the news and Mira getting fired, and advises Jyo to not return to his police station soon. He tells his friends that just like how planet Bureki was invaded, the invasion of Earth started from the most unlikely place. Bundorio then watches Taiya from a monitor as he's about to confront Naito.

Taiya finds Raita Naito standing on a hill. Raita reminiscences about the place, where they used to meet at nights and talk about their dreams while Taiya was still at middle school. Taiya remembers how back then, he told Naito that he wants to grow up as fast as possible, thinking Naito would be the only one who could understand that. Naito commends Taiya for being a great student for him and eventually becoming not just a successful man, but a loved superhero as well, but tells him that there's one thing he doesn't know about the world. Naito claims that when humans see other people suffer, they feel relieved that they have it better, and therefore, the poor and helpless people screams create the rich and successful ones' joy. He compares the Hashiriyans to the Black Ships, saying that their presence on Earth would be beneficial in the long run. Taiya asks him if he's been working with them, and Naito answers to him that he's the one who created Boonboom Killer Robo.

The conversation is interrupted by Waruido Spindo, who arrives in a dark storm and grabs Taiya by his collar. Taiya transforms into Bun Red to fight him, but Spindo avoids all of his attacks, so he transforms into his Champion Form. Bundorio feels guilty for not going with Taiya and is about to rush out to help him, but Genba stops him and reminds him that if he does that, he'll do the same mistake that he did while away from the team and won't rely on his friends. The Boonboomgers tell Bundorio to stay in the base, since Spindo is after him, and ensure him that they'll save Taiya themselves. They transform and rush to help Taiya, with Byun-D joining them.

Spindo beats Taiya and he is detransformed. Naito tells Taiya that he can't win against Spindo, but Taiya tells him that he'll never do as he says and will keep help the people who scream. Spindo says that any wheel that Taiya wishes to hold will be held by him, but the other Boonboomgers jump at him to attack him from behind. Byun-D soon arrives and tells Taiya that they're here to deliver Bundorio's wishes to him. Unfortunately, Spindo dodges them and blocks even their most powerful attacks. Taiya can do nothing but watch as Spindo attacks the other Boonboomgers and Byun-D, eventually injuring them and detransforming the formers when he unleashes another powerful storm. Spindo tells Bundorio that he'll make his friends keep screaming and crying before he completely getting rid of them. Bundorio is unable to watch his friends suffering any longer, so he decides to get out of the base and confronting his long time nemesis, even if against their wishes.

The Sanseaters are feeding Sarucar when suddenly the ground starts shaking. They find Bundorio in his Boonboomger Robo form on his way to fight Spindo. When he arrives, he tells Spindo to let his friends go. Spindo expresses "gratitude" at seeing Bundorio once again after a long time and tells him that he troubled his mind for years, telling him he's ready to absorb his Ghassolin. Bundorio tells him that he doesn't care if something happens to him, and only wishes for Spindo to let his friends go. Spindo refuses, telling him that his friends are going to keep screaming and screaming, and puts the blame on Ishiro betraying the team for their current predicament. Bundorio tells Spindo that if Ishiro is only doing that, it's because of him before charging right at him. Spindo summons the Boonboom Killer Robo to fight Bundorio on equal terms. Spindo summons Grantu Risk and tells him that his showdown with Bundorio is about to begin, before jumping into the Killer Robo's cockpit. At the same time, Naito takes Taiya's Boonboom Changer.

As the Sanseaters arrive to cheer on Spindo, he begins fighting Bundorio using the Killer Robo and gets the upper hand over him. Taiya tries to get up and help him, but Grantu pins him to the ground. Naito tells Taiya that powerless people shouldn't make their own decisions. Bundorio then summons Boonboom Patrol Car 2, Dozer, Classic and Safari, but Spindo suddenly presses his Boonboom Danger and gets all of them under his control. He uses the controlled Boonboom Cars to attack Bundorio before combining them with the Killer Robo, impressing the Sanseaters. Naito proudly tells Taiya that when he asked from him to borrow these Boonboom Cars, he modified them so that Spindo could carjack them and use them against the Boonboomgers. So now, Naito gives Taiya a choice: Either he agrees to give away all of his resources to Naito to be able to save his friend or keeps them but has to watch Bundorio get beaten by Spindo. He agrees to let Naito have all of his assets. Naito mocks Taiya by using his catchphrase before pressing a button on his phone and transferring Taiya's assets to him.

ln a reckless, yet futile gambit to save Bundorio, Taiya frees himself of Grantu's grip, takes back his Changer transform into Bun Red and leaps up to help Bundorio. However, Waruido activates the Boonboom Killer Robo's Gekitotsu Buster Beam that penetrates Bundorio's Chest area, killing him as a big explosion envelops them all. The defeated Boonboomgers can only watch helplessly as Bundorio mutters Taiya's name in his last breath, while the Sanseaters cheer at Spindo for winning against the Boonboomgers. The light in Bundorio's eyes turns off as he falls into the ground.

While Shirabe is watching in horror and disbelief at Bundorio's death, suddenly ISA soldier raid the Boonboomgers' base, led by Ishiro. Shirabe tries to tell him about Bundorio's sudden death, but he's joined by Maimi. Shirabe asks her friend if she's realizing what she's doing. Maimi nonchalantly answers that yes, she does.

Emerging Victorious, Waruido absorbs every drop of Bundorio's Ghassolin, turning his whole attire white as he exclaims that Ghassolin from a traitor tastes the best.

Elsewhere, the defeated Boonboomgers find Bundorio's lifeless body amidst the heavy rain. Taiya lies down next to him, hopelessly trying to wake him up. With all his assets lost to Naito, public turned on them from the false narratives, and Bundorio demise, Taiya screams in anquish for the very first time as the other Boonboomgers could only watch their fallen friend in grief and despair. The episode ended with Waruido menacing face appeared suddenly within the thunderclap...
