Bakuage 39: Screaming Stars (悲鳴の星 Himei no Hoshi) is the thirty-ninth episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. It features the debut of Boonboomger Robo Champion Leo Rescue Custom as well as Maimi Baisu.

Synopsis[]

The ISA upper management is somehow suspicious.... So Shirabe consults with Maimi Baisu, her good friend at the ISA. Meanwhile, the Boonboomgers are having a tough time with a new Kurumaju, and are in big trouble when Spindo finally arrives on Earth...!?

Plot[]

The episode begins with Waruido's prison planet which finally arrived at Earth's Orbit. Waruido himself looked at the Earth that's projected by his staff while muttering to himself that he's coming for Bundorio.

At the Sanseaters base, the trio is currently napping as Grantu Risk comes in, which startles them. As Decotrade and Itasha asked who is the new intruder in panic, Risk introduces himself as the Hashiriyan HQ Consiglieri (Second in Command). Now realizing that a high rank Hashiriyan has visited them, the Sanseaters immediately bowed before him in reverence since they never expected to meet him at all. To their further surprise and elation, Risk immediately recognizes the Sanseaters as the Goons that the Late Mad Rex are fond of, before proceeding to praises them for continuing their invasion despite the demise of Hashiriyan enforcers (Mad Rex, Cannonborg, and Disrace) on behalf of Waruido. Ultimately, Risk declared that the Sanseaters are under his command from today onwards, and ordered them to continuing the Invasion as he gives them an Ignition Key and a Scrubbing Sponge, prompting Itasha to create Sponge Grumer offscreen.

The scene shifted at Boonboomger Base where Taiya is currently enjoying Bundorio's curry as Mira asked about Ishiro's current task at espionage, hence his absence lately. Bundorio confirmed this and states that he won't be on the base for long since he is investigating about the ISA. Meanwhile, at ISA HQ, Shirabe is shown to swoon over Bundorio photo in her phone lockscreen as she had her lunch. A new figure then asked about what did Shirabe sees, as the latter identifies the new figure as Maimi Baisu. After some dilly dailies, Maimi asked Shirabe if she's now too entangled with the Boonboomgers after she saw her lockscreen, with Shirabe denies this, claiming it's a work related matter. Shirabe then proceed to told Maimi about her doubt that ISA's top brass are acting weird lately, although Maimi is quick to dismiss such suspicion. Maimi proclaimed that ISA is still Earth's best defense system against Hashiriyan invasion and encourage her to work hard to protect humanity before she took her leave. As Shirabe muttered to herself that Maimi is always a busy person, she receives a call that alerts her of a new Grumer invasion.

The next thing we know, Sponge Grumer is shown attacking several civilians by covering them with his slippery suds. As many Gyaughsoline are harvested, the Sanseaters are shown monitoring the act directly while Decotrade scrubs Yaiyai with a normal sponge. Jyo Akuse is the first one to notice the invasion and about to transform into Bun Black, had Sponge didn't cover the poor officer with his suds. Jyo glides away only to be caught by Ishiro, while Sakito uses his speed to rid the civilians from the slippery suds. As Mira and Taiya caught on, Mira asked Ishiro about his mission, only for the latter to proclaim that he's a Boonboomger, first and foremost. After Ishiro and Taiya exchange a meaningful glance (Ishiro is yet to procure vital informations about ISA), The five Boomboomgers transformed to combat the Grumer.

The Sanseaters goes behind Sponge to cheer him up, only for Decotrade to have a slip of mouth by proclaiming that Waruido is on his way to Earth before they left. The unexpected Info makes the Boonboomgers (especially Taiya) and Bundorio to panic as Shirabe entered the base. Bundorio immediately asked Shirabe if the Radar had picked up any danger signal recently. However, the radar picked up nothing. The scene immediately shifted to Tokoyari watching the situation from his office, with Maimi informed him that Information Blackout is in place. Tokoyari then announced that it's ripe time for Waruido's arrival.

Moments later, Waruido summoned a stair of light from his Prison Planet to ISA's Helipad. As he walked down, we can see Grantu Risk and several elite Nejirettas expecting his arrival. After a pose, Waruido proclaimed that Earth is reeks of Gyaughsoline, and he immediately took liking in it. Risk then officially welcomed Waruido, before the Hashiriyan leader embraces him informally while praising Risk for keeping Hashiriyan HQ up and running to this day, much to Risk's elation. Tokoyari then arrived at the Helipad and greeted Waruido, accompanied by Maimi. Waruido informally replies Tokoyari greeting back before exclaimed that he's hoping to make a relationship that equally profits both of them. While unnerved by Waruido's unexpected eccentricities, Tokoyari still offered Waruido to rest after such long travel, which Waruido declined as he need to do a little errand on his own. As such, Waruido ended up borrowing Tokoyari's Limo as he goes somewhere while Maimi asked if Tokoyari intentionally lets the Hashiriyan leader do as he pleases. Tokoyari replied that he'll let him for the time being while praising Waruido's formidable personality as Maimi looked on with suspicion.

Meanwhile, the Boonboomgers are shown battling Sponge at an abandoned Car Graveyard. Sponge troublesome suds are shown covering most of Boonboomger weaponry, to the point of them unable to handle them properly. Genba then appeared to help them by offering them some chains to keep their handling steady, only for Sponge to cover them with suds too. The sudden attack left Genba clumsy and vulnerable, prompting Bun Blue to cover for the Procurer as Sponge dashed to him. Sponge then covered Bun Blue with his suds before he body slammed the ranger with his body. As the suds subside, Bun Blue is nowhere to be seen,with only the suds covered Ranger Suit left, much to Bun Pink, Black, and Violet's Horror. Bun Red immediately deduces that Sponge Grumer could absorb someone inside of him, prompting Genba to transform into Bun Orange.

However, Sponge is quick to act as he body slammed Bun Orange, Pink, Black, and Violet in the same manner as Bun Blue, leaving Bun Red alone. At Boonboomger base, Byun Dy reacted in panic as Bundorio attempted to hold him in. Not long after, Grantu Risk appeared and immediately attacked the mortified Bun Red, canceling his transformation. Risk praises Sponge for eliminating the risk altogether, allowing his plan to go smoothly. As Taiya asked Risk about his plan, Risk notices that all other Boonboomger member are gone before Waruido's Limo appeared before him. Predictably, Waruido himself finally appeared before Taiya as Risk introduces his boss. The revelation touched Sanseaters to the point of them fainting as they hide, while Bundorio start shaking in fear at the base. A mortified Shirabe looked in disbelief while exclaiming that the radar didn't pick anything about this, only for Byun Dy to bitterly deduces that someone in ISA must have arranged for Waruido's arrival in discreet.

As Taiya and Waruido meets face to face, Waruido first sarcastically thanked Taiya for looking after Bundorio. Taiya then asked about Waruido's reason for his arrival, only for the Hashiriyan leader to proclaim that Earth is a nice place to gather lots of fine Gyaughsoline due to War, Poverty, and other misfortunes happening daily. Taiya immediately realized that Waruido is in fact another enemy to mankind, prompting Waruido to proclaim Taiya as a Naive person, before exclaiming that he know about Boonboomgers and Bundorio desire to join Big Bang Grandprix. In turn, this deeply shocked Taiya and people at the base, with Shirabe finally find out about the true mole of Hashiriyan, which is none other than Eichiro Tokoyari himself.

Waruido proceed to rub more salt into the wounds by stating that he's now running the whole thing. He disclosed the reason is simply to gather even more Gyaughsoline from the screams of the winner and losers alike. In cold rage, Taiya realizes that within the current BBG, the winners are fixed by the Hashiriyan, which Waruido confirmed. Waruido finally taunted Taiya by exclaiming that he'll destroy everything that Bundorio held dear, and that he already brought the Boonboomgers dream by purchasing the whole BBG for his own, twisted amusement. Hearing enough, Taiya finally gone livid and proclaimed that Waruido had no right to laugh at their dream. Taiya is about to transform again into Bun Red, only for Risk to destroy the latter Boonboom Changer with his attack.

Seeing Taiya beaten down by Risk while Waruido leisurely took his leave, Bundorio entered a severe panic state as he produce a new Boonboom Changer, attempting to deliver it himself. While Byun Dy now desperately hold Bundorio in since he know that Waruido's ultimate target is Bundorio himself, Shirabe decides to took the changer and deliver it to Taiya herself, much to Bundorio's worry. Risk later took his leave after ordering Sponge to extract Gyaughsoline from the battered Taiya. However, Boonboom Wagon suddenly appeared from the Highway Dimension, and use its attack mode to brutally squeezes the Grumer. The Driver is shown to be Shirabe, who manages to successfully freed the other Boonboomgers despite the damage she took from not possessing Boonboom Suits.

As the five captured Boonboomgers are now outside (with Mira and Jyo become flabbergasted by their suitless appearance, with Jyo dubbed this as the Tire Human looks), Shirabe painstakingly delivers the spare Boonboom Changer to Taiya before passing out. Taiya solemnly thanked Shirabe for her dedication and become Cranked-Up, with Sakito promptly took Shirabe to safety so that the Core Boonboomgers could defeat Sponge with ease. Predictably, they did just that after transforming into Champion Boonboomger, and Bun Red delivered the Bakuage Champion Drive to finish the normal sized Sponge Grumer. Even after Yaiyai enlarges the Grumer with Highway Beam, the baleful grumer is once again taken out easily after Champion Boonboomger uses Boonboomger Robo Champion Leo Rescue Custom to counter the suds.

With the battle finishes, Shirabe declared that they should investigate ISA thoroughly and be even more cautious from this point onwards. Jyo admitted that he's scared about the implications of ISA working directly under their enemies, only for Byun Dy to states that the signs are already present beforehand. Taiya is shown already ordered Ishiro to search for other informations in the meantime, while Shirabe is also shown to ask Maimi in discreet to watch over Tokoyari movement. The scene shifted to Tokoyari and Waruido inside a lavish room as Tokoyari introduces Waruido to his accomplice, Naito Raita.

The episode ends as Waruido hold a Tuna Nigiri in his hand, while proclaiming that they should enjoy the feast themselves for now before talking about the business later.
