Bakuage 28: Switch Off The Light (光を振り切って Hikari o Furikitte) is the twenty-eighth episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. It features the return of Raid Team Captain Madrex since his defeat in episode 9 as Madrex Fury.

Synopsis[]

Genba has left the Boonboomgers. The remaining members try to do what they can do now. Then, the Hashiriyan goes on a rampage in the city...!? Jyo says, "I will fight for Genba's sake!" He then faces a new monster!

Plot[]

While Taiya is working at the garage, he remembers Genba's departure from the team in the previous episode and sighs. Bundorio notices that Boonboom Safari and Boonboom Marine are also worried about him, and Shirabe says that the ISA are also upset that he left the team. Taiya then asks her why the ISA isn't targeting them for that, and asks her if she's responsible, and she confirms that. Bundorio then asks Taiya if letting Genba go was the right move, and Taiya explains that they should let him accept his anger before coming back to the team. He then goes and asks Bundorio to check their new project, and the camera pans to a computer screen showing blueprints of a new Boonboom Car the two are working on.

Genba is seen climbing the staircase of a building when he receives a call from Mira and Jyo, who want to "deliver their feelings" for him and try to convince him to rejoin the team. Jyo admires his strength and kindness and asks him to not use his powers for revenge, but Genba simply asks them to not contact him again before hanging up. He then eats a lollipop to preserve his human appearance and climbs to the building's rooftop. Jyo then gets a report about strange "Pararira-Pararira" noises from another policeman and is asked to come over and check it up.

Taiya visits Raita Naito and apologizes for letting his delivery fall at the hands of the Hashiriyans, but Raita shrugs it off and tells him to not dwell on it too much, and tells him that the delivery was a strange metal piece from space. He then tells Taiya that he has something to deliver to him, and shows him a collection of drawings of the Boonboomgers made by children. Raita tells Taiya these drawings were made by children from all around the world that Taiya has helped, and Taiya tells Raita he couldn't have done this without him, but Raita refuses to take the credit and tells him that it's all thanks for the Boonboomgers.

Meanwhile, the Sanseaters are searching for something, guided by Disrace who stays at the warehouse and uses his snake and a special paper to direct them towards it. When the Sanseaters arrive at the right location, they are surprised to find Hashiri-Ken, who has survived MadRex's death by the hands of the Boonboomgers, and take him back to the warehouse.

Meanwhile, Genba is swinging his Boonboom Change Axe around in a fit of anger, and is found by Sakito and Byun-D, who ask to join him in his revenge against Disrace as he also gave them trouble in the past. Genba refuses and tells them that his quest of revenge belongs only to him, so they leave but tell him that he can always change his mind.

Jyo and Mira are looking around for the source of the "Pararira-Pararira" noises, and Mira says that Genba could've helped them if he was still around, but Jyo tells her to not think about him right now and that they should keep going on their own.

Back at the warehouse, Disrace places Hashiri-Ken and the metallic pipe he stole on the carpet that Carpet Grumer was made from, and boasts in his success, to the Sanseaters' annoyance. He then generates the Gyahsoline that Carpet Grumer collected and, to the Sanseaters shock, causes Hashiri-Ken and the metallic piece to float and reform as a revived MadRex. Disrace renames him MadRex Fury, and the revived captain answers "Tail to Nose" in a monotonous voice. The Sanseaters notice that the revived MadRex is acting differently than the usual, and Disrace gives Itasha an upgraded Ignition Key that could create more powerful Kurumaju than the previous ones. Itasha then creates Neon Grumer from a neon sign.

Madrex's return

Madrex returns

The Hashiriyans dress up as waiters and open a restaurant in order to lure people into a trap. Inside the restaurant, a couple notices a standing-still Neon Grumer and mistake him for a statue before Itasha seats them down. She then asks all of the customers in the room to look at Neon Grumer, who screams and startles them, causing them to generate Gyahsoline. Decotrade and Yarucar are watching from another room and realize that this tactic may be the "Effective Targeting" that Disrace talked about earlier. Unlike previous Kurumaju, Neon Grumer doesn't keep the Gyahsoline he collects inside him, but rather sends it to the Hashiriyan HQ through the Highway Space. The Boonboomgers notice that and group together to find the Kurumaju.

The four Boonboomgers meet with Sakito, but before they can find the Kurumaju, they are interrupted by a mysteriously revived MadRex. Jyo recognizes Hashiri-Ken as the source of the "Pararira-Pararira" voices, and Ishiro is shocked that he survived, confusing Sakito who didn't know he was supposed to be dead. Taiya confronts MadRex alone while the other Boonboomger try to find Neon Grumer. When Taiya reminds MadRex that he defeated him once, MadRex doesn't understand what he's talking about and doesn't even remember who Taiya is. Taiya reintroduces himself as Bun Red and begins to fight him.

The other Boonboomgers arrive at the Hashiriyan restaurant and rescue all of the customers, angering Neon Grumer. Jyo then switches his Boonboom Change Axe to axe mode before Neon Grumer teleports all five of them to a dark warehouse. They begin fighting and Neon grumer proves to be a very though opponent and ties up Ishiro, Mira and Sakito. Jyo still fights the hardest until Neon Grumer causes him to de-transform. The other Boonboomgers then remember Genba and say that they really need him around, and Jyo then gets up and says that even though he can't replace Genba, he'll fill his share of fighting until he returns. He transforms again and fiercly attacks Neon Grumer, fighting him alone and succesfully destroying him. They're telported back to reality, but Yarucar then enlarges Neon Grumer. The Boonboomgers form Boonboomger Robo Police and destroy Neon Grumer once again.

Disrace observes their victory and seems to recognize Bundorio. He order MadRex to return to the base, and he retreats while fighting Taiya. Genba looks at them from afar, and Taiya feels that someone is watching them, but Genba leaves when he turns his head.

Meanwhile, Ishiro is approaching a car in a parking lot. The driver, Eiichiro Tokoyari, tells him that he wants to hire his services for the second time...
