Bakuage 27: Not An Easy Choice

Bakuage 27: Not An Easy Choice (甘くない選択 Amakunai Sentaku) is the twenty-seventh episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. It features the revelation of Genba Bureki's origin as well as his departure from the Boonboomgers.

Synopsis[]

Genba became more furious than ever and started fighting with the new Hashiriyan captain, Disrace! What kind of relationship do the two have? The mysterious procurer's past is finally revealed, and the Boonboomgers are in danger of unexpectedly losing Bun Orange...!?

Plot[]

Continuing from the previous episode, Genba madly attacked the new Hashiriyan, only for the Hashiriyan to deflect him with ease. Genba furiously declared that he’ll never forget the face of this Hashiriyan, Disrace. Disrace is surprised to see Genba knew his name and decides to introduce himself as the Hashiriyan Rebuild Team Captain. As he does so, he burned the package casing to reveal a Metal Exhaust Part kept inside, claiming he didn’t get any ounce of sleep recently because of this thing. Enraged because his hatred is completely ignored by Disrace, Genba unleashes his true form, a White Haired Feline Alien which shocked all the Boonboomgers and Boondorio.

Genba then turned into Boon Orange to continue attacking Disrace, but Disrace easily overpowered him by manipulating the Gravity around the Ranger, first to repel him and the next one is to press him to a nearby puddle. Disrace seemed to forgot about Genba identity as the latter keep attacking, despite knowing that he’s losing against Disrace’s ability. As Disrace decides to escape using Smoke Camouflage, Boon Orange entered a state of frenzy and attacked aimlessly, roaring for Disrace to not get away once more. Taiya stopped Boon Orange angrily, telling his team mate to calm down and that Disrace is already gone. As conscience filled Genba once more, and the dusts starts to settle, Genba can see that his aimless attacks had injured Taiya, Ishiro, Mira and Jyo. A mortified Genba could only slumped helplessly as Sakito commented that a Big Roll of Chaos had just been unleashed upon them…

Cuing to ISA Headquarters, Tokoyari and Naito had a private chat with each other. Naito mocked Tokoyari decision to Bait the Boonboomger by delivering the Item Disrace searching, inevitably produced casualties in the form of the Physics and Chemistry lab workers. Tokoyari calmly rebuttes that while he’s aware of this decision, ISA had decided that Disrace is more reliable than Cannonborg to fulfill their undisclosed goals, and that of course ISA won’t let all things goes with whatever Hashiriyans are planning. Tokoyari then asked about the situation on Naito’s side, with the latter replied things are going well, and that Boonboom Killer Robo is ready for mass production. As Naito declared, three Boonboom Killer Robos are ominously standing by at a secret hangar…

Back at the Boonboomger base, Genba is currently eating a Lollipop with him and the other member dispirited after the encounter with Disrace. With Shirabe finally learned about Genba's ID as a non-human being, Sakito deduces that Genba is an Alien hailing from Planet Bureki, which Genba confirmed. Ishiro asked if Taiya already know of Genba's Alter Ego, but Taiya himself admitted that he initially only have some hunches about it. Genba then formally introduces himself as Genbard De Livery II, much to Sakito's shock, as he revealed that Genba is a legitimate successor / the Young Boss of Planet Bureki. Byoon Di then explained to a confused Mira that Planet Bureki used to operate a renowned, universe-scale shopping service under the rule of King De Livery. Shirabe immediately inquires about Genba reason to visit earth, only for Genba to explain that the Hashiriyan had successfully invaded Planet Bureki, falsely accused his father, King De Livery himself, and imprisoning him in a space prison. To put salt into the wounds, Genba also revealed that Disrace is the one leading the invasion.

Meanwhile, Disrace finally meet the Sanseaters in their hiding place. Disrace immediately mixed up their names, claiming that the trend is currently hype in the outer space. Disrace explained to the Sanseaters that since Earth yield of Gassholin is extremely low, Hashiriyan HQ practically 'begged' him to help, thus explaining his arrival to Earth. While Yarucar remarked that Disrace arrival is just the same as meddling with their Missions, the aforementioned Hashiriyan acknowledged Yarucar's remark, and explained further that for an invasion to be successful, one need to have the efficient Targeting & Marketing, else the desired effect won't occur. As Disrace finished his Impromptu teaching, a heavy, packaged object fell down onto the Sanseaters below. Disrace cheerily commented that Hashiriyan Shopping Service is indeed remarkable, since his invasion to Planet Bureki finally paid off nicely.

Back at Boonboomger base, Genba concluded his backstory by stating that he's the last of Bureki Seijin who successfully flee to Earth post Disrace's invasion. The day of his arrival is also when he first met Taiya Hando, who at that time is having a hard time since his car break down in the middle of nowhere. Taiya commented that he need to procure some spareparts for his car to be able to operate again, Genba immediately procure him the parts he needed by undisclosed means. After the repair is done, Genba reached his limit and about to revert into his Alien form had not Taiya offering him a Lollipop. Genba revealed that in order for Bureki Seijin to camouflage as Human, they need daily intake of Sugar, thus he become a procurer to do so.

When Shirabe asked about the source of his Procurement items, Genba revealed that he gradually Disassembled his Spaceship parts and tinkering with it. Jyo worriedly asked if Genba can return to Planet Bureki after all of the parts he Disassembled, with Taiya bitterly replied that as of now, Genba had Virtually no place to return to. Taiya & Ishiro finally deduces that Genba personal reason for joining the Boonboomgers is to reclaim Planet Bureki back, in which Genba confirmed, although when he met Disrace again, his mind going blank in rage. After hearing all of that, Mira ended up suggesting everyone to help Genba reclaiming his beloved Planet back, with Jyo agreeing on that notion, claiming that the Hashiriyan cannot get away with their crimes. While Genba appreciate Mira's idea, he murmured alone that it's not the right method to do so.

The next day, as Disrace is still asleep, the Sanseaters decides to open the package they received yesterday, out of curiosity. The item turns out to be a Carpet, although their noise ended up waking Disrace from his sleep. Nevertheless, instead of being enraged, Disrace is amused by the Sanseaters antics, claiming that he respected them since they're the one starting the Invasion to Earth in the first place. Disrace ended up giving them a mission to Gather Gassholin as usual, with Itasha promptly turn the Carpet into Grumer.

Meanwhile, at the Boonboomger base, Shirabe announced that Genba is to be put under special observations by ISA due to his extraterrestrial nature. Shirabe attempts to apologize for the inconvenience ISA had caused, only to be interrupted by Alert of a new Grumer on the loose. Before Genba left, Boondorio is about to say something for him, only for Genba to thanked him, as they're both similar in some ways, and commended BoonBoom as a Good guy, not like him who is currently driven by revenge.

The scene shifted with Carpet Grumer appeared on Kazuhiko Shimamoto autograph session to gather Gassholin, alongside with the Sanseaters. Carpet Grumer managed to take several people hostage, including the renowned Mangaka. Thankfully, the core members of the Boonboomger arrived at the scene to save the hostages. After they transformed and do their rollcall, theh battled the Grumer and Nejirettas as usual, only for Boon Orange to just observe the battle of his friends after doing his part. Boon Orange morosely commented that the view of them in the front seat is exactly what he wished for, being both trustworthy and beautiful. With the Carpet Grumer dealt with both in normal and Giant size by the Boonboomgers, Boon Orange finally set on his resolve.

Amidst the ongoing battle, Disrace is walking around with the metal part, only to be intercepted by Sakito and Byoon Diesel. Sakito transformed into Boon Violet and the two battle. However, Boon Violet is proven no match against Disrace powers. Disrace leisurely observed the Boonboomgers battle with the giant sized Carpet Grumer, and after Carpet Grumer is defeated, Disrace deems today mission is over. Boon Violet angrily asked about Disrace's end game, in which Disrace replied that he'll become a Producer for the Earth using his superior Hashiriyan innovation management. Predictably, Boon Violet had no idea about Disrace words, and later get defeated by the said Hashiriyan. Sakito bitterly commented to a worried Byoon Di that Disrace is genuinely strong.

After the battle, Mira invites Genba back to the Boonboomger base to eat some curry again, only for Genba to comment that he adores them as fellow comrades. As such, he cannot bring them alongside the path of his revenge. Thus, he decides that he'll quit being a Boonboomger, much to everyone shock. Genba commented that he'll take his wheel himself, and about to return his Boonboom Change Axe back to Taiya. Taiya bitterly agreed on Genba's resignation, only to be objected by Mira and Jyo, claiming that the resignation will be harder on Genba than anyone else. Ishiro even questioned Taiya's decision since the latter do exclaimed that he'll need a Procurement specialist on his team. Nevertheless, with Genba remained resolute of his decision, Taiya suggested Genba to bring his Boonboom Change Axe with him. With his resignation completed, Genba bid the Boonboomgers farewell, and walked on his own way...

Back at the Hashiriyan's hideout, the Sanseaters retrieved the Carpet as Disrace requested earlier. Itasha asked what's the purpose of this act, only for Disrace to say that he's going to do "Something Wild" with it. Elsewhere, the lonely bark of Hashiriken (Madrex's Pet Dog) can be heard on piles of trashes as the episode ends.
