Summary[]
Little Bulk becomes an even bigger problem than normal when Rita and Zedd turn him into the monster Bratboy. As the Alien Rangers deal with Bratboy, Zordon conceives a plan that can restore the child Rangers to normal, while Goldar and Rito begin their mission to destroy the Command Center with some difficulty.
Plot[]
The Ranger Kids go to the Splash City waterpark with Billy, who is posing as Tommy's uncle, and Mr. Wilton. Though they're looking forward to having a fun time, the kids can't help but feel worried for the Alien Rangers after their recent battle. To reassure them, Billy calls Zordon. Their mentor reports that they all made it back to Aquitar safely then tells the Ranger kids to enjoy the day so their altered bodies and minds can get some relief.
At the Moon Palace, Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa have come up with a plan. They summon Rito Revolto and Goldar for a mission. Unfortunately, the two are seen squabbling over the littlest of things. Lord Zedd orders them to be quiet and listen up. He and Rita found a weak link in the Command Center's line of defense. Their objective is to infiltrate the abandoned tunnels beneath it and plant a destruction mechanism that Finster made beneath the facility that will blow Zordon and the Morphing Grid to antimatter. Goldar states he will go, but Rito isn't coming with him. Zedd tells him off that's not up for discussion, pointing out that he will take Rito regardless so he doesn't make a nuisance of himself. To distract the Rangers, Rita and Zedd decide to turn the meanest kid they can find into a monster.
Back on Earth, everyone and including Mr. Wilton are having a good time. In one part of the park, Bulk and Skull attempt to cut in line. They are stopped and confronted by a burly lifeguard. This makes Bulk and Skull nervous knowing that's coming next since they were caught by him. The lifeguard orders them to behave themselves and follow the rules at once. Intimidated, Bulk and Skull complies to his orders and head off to another slide. Katherine is seen laughing at the two being put in their place by the lifeguard.
Back at the Moon Palace, Zedd is frustrated by this and wonders if there is a mean child in that class. Rita encourages him to keep looking. She mentions that their day is about to be more rotten because Rito and Goldar both forgot to take the destruction mechanism with them before they left. Zedd is embarrassed further by their foul up. In the abandoned tunnels, Rito pull the map out and is about to look through it when he and Goldar hears Rita shouting at them. She reprimands the two for forgetting the device and forcing her to deliver it to them, handing it to Goldar. He and Rito continue to squabble over who is to be in charge of the mission. Rita shouts at the two to get their act together before Lord Zedd shows up and confronts them. Rito tears the map in half and give one half to Goldar. Rita is frustrated, gets a headache in dealing with those two and leaves.
Rita and Zedd finds a potential mean kid in Bulk after he and Skull throw inner tubes at the Ranger kids. When Billy confronts the duo and tells them what they did was very dangerous as they almost hurt the others, Bulk suddenly turns into Bratboy and throws Billy into the water. The Ranger Kids hold Bratboy off while Billy dries off the communicator and contacts Zordon, who summons the Alien Rangers.
Once they arrive, the Alien Rangers lure Bratboy into chasing them across the waterpark. Frustrated, Rita and Zedd make the monster grow and the Battle Borgs are summoned, but Bratboy proves too strong for them. The Ranger kids then arrive and shout to Bratboy that he is their friend Bulk, causing him to fight the evil spell placed on him and return to normal again. The Aquitians head back to Aquitar to rehydrate once again while the Ranger kids take Bulk back to Splash City and convince him that he was dreaming while Bratboy. Skull shows up and reminds Bulk that he had been turned into a monster. He denies it, but Skull keeps insisting.
Elsewhere, Goldar and Rito are still in the tunnels of the Command Center but are having trouble with sharing their halves of the map. Things are made harder when Rito burns Goldar's half by accident.
Zordon teleports the Rangers back to the Command Center to tell them that the one thing that will restore them and the Earth to normal is the Zeo Crystal, the very relic that the Rangers themselves shattered and cast through time and space to prevent Master Vile from obtaining it. Once reassembled, it will restore their ages and give them powers greater than before, but the pieces of the Zeo Crystal are in different countries and time periods. Billy insists that he should go to get the pieces because he's the only one who returned to his normal age. Zordon tells him that the crystal pieces will only respond to the other Rangers as they are still affected by the time warp caused by Master Vile and the Orb of Doom and this will also be a quest involving their heritage. Despite the danger it poses, the young heroes agree to take up the journey.
