Atsuko Tanaka (田中 敦子 Tanaka Atsuko) was a Japanese voice actress best known for her roles in anime and games such as Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell, Trish in Devil May Cry, Konan in Naruto: Shippuden, Medea (Caster) in Fate/stay night, Lisa Lisa in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Hanami in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Bayonetta in Bayonetta.
Personal Life[]
- Tanaka has a son, Hikaru, who is also a voice actor. Although Hikaru had been an established voice actor for some years, his relation to his mother Atsuko was not revealed until he had revealed so on the day of her death.
Death[]
On August 20, 2024, Tanaka's son, Hikaru, announced that his mother had passed away from an unspecified illness (left unrevealed on her request) that she had been battling with for the past nine years. She is survived by her son.[1][2]
