The Area 62 is the abandoned building that was originally used by humans many years ago but later became the evil base of the Void Family. After the defeat of the Nemesis Beast, Area 62 became the new home of the Rafkonians.

Layout

A military base, with a lot of old technology that proved very useful for creating new generals. The place also has several monitors and a throne that was made with a military vehicle. The secret room hid Santaura while in her comatose state.

History

20 years ago, scientists from Area 62 uncovered strange metal traces underneath a hill and later marked the place on a map they made. Ed Jones used to work at Area 62, where he saw all kinds of unusual things which he would never tell anyone about even after leaving the place to become handyman due to it being top secret. It was at Area 62 where Rafkonians Tarrick, Santaura and their baby daughter were confined before an experiment went wrong, forcing an emergency evacuation. Unable to escape, Tarrick asks Ed to take their daughter to safety, which he managed to do so, but when an explosion occurred, a piece of rubble struck Santaura, leaving her comatose and with a vengeance, believing her daughter is dead.

Over the next 20 years, Tarrick managed to break out of the confinement room and made the abandoned base as his home. He created a stasis pod for Santaura, but was unable to find a power source to rejuvenate her. He eventually found a Chromofury Saber and the Dino Knight Morpher, which he uses to create a suit, proclaiming himself Void Knight.

After Santaura was awakened, she used the Sporix to turn into Void Queen, bowing to get revenge for her thought to be deceased daughter. She later used it on Tarrick, who aided the Rangers several times, turning him into Void King.

Upon discovering her parents may have been at Area 62, Amelia went there looking for answers before managing to probe Void King's mind, and discovered he was her father and that Amelia was his daughter.

Six months after the Sporix Battle, Area 62 was then used as a home for the Rafkonians, and Tarrick and Santaura, who were expecting another daughter.

• The set of Area 62 was originally an abandoned underground military facility.
• Area 62 is named after Area 51, a highly classified United States Air Force (USAF) facility within the Nevada Test and Training Range. Originally, Bennett named the base "Area 52", but due to its heavy name similarity with the real life Area 51, it had to be changed to 62 to avoid any potential legal issues. This can be seen with the signage having a clear indication that the number was altered.
