Archie Kao is an American actor who portrayed Kai Chen/Lost Galaxy Blue in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and had some voice roles in future seasons as well.
Biography[]
Kao was born in Washington DC to Taiwanese immigrants, and grew up in Virginia. Kao graduated from college in 1992 with a degree in speech communications. He originally wanted to study law and become a politician before deciding to be an actor instead.
In the early 2000s, he had roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Desperate Housewives, ER, and Heroes.
In 2024, he portrayed Uncle Wong in the Hulu series Interior Chinatown. During interview press tours for the show, Kao spoke fondly of his time with Power Rangers, stating his gratitude with being involved in the show and continued correspondence with his Lost Galaxy co-stars.[1][2]
Personal Life[]
- Kao is bilingual in both English and Mandarin. He also studied French for six years.
- Kao married Chinese actress Zhou Xun
in 2014.[3] They divorced in 2020 after six years of marriage.[4]
