Apostle of Dawn Rije (黎明の使徒リジェ Reimei no Shito Rije) is Wicked Life God Dezumozorlya's child-like metatron, responsible for linking the two worlds. She is also a host to Dezumozorlya.

Rije was cursed herself.

When she and Mizuho went to fight the Evoliens at Dezumozorlya's palace, Mahoro didn't know she was pregnant with her and Asuka's child. Dezumozorlya used his power to show Mahoro an illusion that Asuka has abandoned her for another woman and implanted himself into her baby along with brainwashing her and her brother into serving him. By the time the infant was born, Mahoro had long forgotten Asuka as she placed the baby inside a pod where she matured within a year into the girl named "Rije". However, while Dezumozorlya controlled half of Rije's soul, the other half became a semi-separate being of her own, who is a mysterious unnamed girl. The mysterious girl persona occasionally leaves Rije's body to stop the fight between Asuka and Mahoro and remind them of their love. When Rije met the mysterious girl, she momentarily dispersed her other self with her blast of lightning

A mysterious Rije began to interfere Jeanne.

The two Rijes.

Eventually, unaware that he possessed the other half of Dezumozorlya's being, Rije fell in love with Mikoto Nakadai prior to being force grown into Rijewel. Upon becoming Rijewel, this causes the mysterious girl to be permanently separated from her other self and attempts to use Mai Hakua to maintain her existence before eventually befriending her.

Rijewel lures the parents into custody as she declared as the queen.

But when the truth that she and Mikoto must die so a fully awakened Dezumozorlya can become whole again, Rejewel helps the Abaranger convince Mikoto of the truth allowing him to run.

She then finds herself being possessed by Dezumozorlya and later he transforms her body into Dezumorejewel to fight the Abarangers before Abare Killer joins them in overpowering Dezumolijewel by combining the power of their Dino Guts.

Rijewel regressed back to Rije

Taking advantage of Dezumozorlya's moment of weakness, the mysterious girl appears and enters Rijewel to purge the entity. With her and the mysterious girl completely merged back into one, Rijewel regresses back into Rije and then into her original infant form. The infant is soon named after Mikoto.

During the Final Episode, a couple that resembles Rijewel and Mikoto and a family that resembles Asuka, Mahoro, and Rije entered the Dino Curry much to the Abaranger's surprise.

Mikoto possessed Rije/Rijewel's ability to travel between Earth and Dino-Earth that enabled her father to aid their friends when needed during the events of Dekaranger Vs. Abaranger, Boukenger Vs. Super Sentai, and the Legend War.

As Rije, she is normally sweet and caring, wishing all the Trinoids and Giganoids she sent down to Earth a good luck and even complimenting them. However, when Dezumozorlya possessed her, her voice deepened to that of a possessed female and she became ruthless, torturing her fellow Evolien members with a blast of green lightning from her hands (something that she can also without Dezumozorlya's possession sometimes). However, as she spends more time with Mikoto, who she has a crush on, she slowly developed negative traits such as becoming more self-centered and turned into a spoiled brat at times, something that Yatsudenwani noted.

When she becomes Rijewel, while she still have some child-like personality, she becomes more and more attached and infatuated to Mikoto, getting annoyed when Mikoto left her side or brought Mahoro back to be transformed into Jeanne. Her ruthlessness and rudeness was also increased, as seen when she electrocuted Mikela and Voffa out of annoyance after her plan with Rougirafflesia failed and calls Mahoro an old lady, which in turn, made Mahoro call her a brat. She also developed a love for wine, often seeing drinking them with Mikoto and even left a battlefield just to drink wine. However, she had also grown to genuinely loved Mikoto, becoming one of the few creatures who cared for him, as she was annoyed when Mikela and Voffa offered him food that does not suit his tastes, and even convinced the Abarangers to take care of Mikoto after it was revealed that the other half of Dezumozorlya in his body.

In her child form, Rije possesses no combat ability and only has the power to traverse between the two worlds. With her magical kiss, the Trinoid and Giganoid are able to travel to the other world. When Dezumozorlya possessed her, she gains the ability to fire green lightning blasts from her hands as a way to express his displeasure of his minions' failures, however there are times that she can do it without Dezumozorlya' possession.

At first, Rije's abilities are rather limited, she can transport herself between the two worlds as she wishes and can use it on the Trinoids and Giganoids too. When Dezumozorlya possessed her, she gains the ability to fire green lightning blasts from her hands so Dezumozorlya can express his displeasure at his minions' failures, however, even without Dezumozorlya's influence, she was shown to have the power of lightning blasts herself, probably as a form of self-defense.

When she became Rijewel, she was armed with a scepter, and she gains powerful offensive abilities such as "Bomber Kiss" and "Rijewel Flash Illusion" while still retaining her previous abilities. As DezumoRejewel, her power is increased even further, albeit forced, as Dezumozorlya was merely using her body. He/she was still able to fire powerful green lighting blasts like Rije/Rijewel did and withstand most of the Abaranger's power.

After she regressed back to the infant she lost most of her abilities when Dezumozorlya was purged from her body but her transportation ability still remains to allow Asuka to come to Earth and fight along with the others when necessary.

  • Her name is a pun on the Japanese word riju (リジュ), which means "rejuvenating".

  • Like many of the villainesses, Rije has her theme song named "Evolien's Hymn". The song's first part is played in episode 29 when she was "dating" with Mikoto.
  • Rije/Rijewel may have inspired the idea for Mora/Morgana in Power Rangers S.P.D.
