The Anoni (アノーニ, Anōni) are the footsoldiers serving both the Hitotsuki and the Noto in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers.

History

The Anoni would make their first appearance when Haruka had acquired a pair of Airfly glasses from an as now currently unknown slot machine game that had appeared on her phone, allowing her to see distortions in her view as well as an Anoni disguised as an ordinary human, the Anoi begins to realise that Haruka can see him as he slowly gets up as she runs out of the cafe as he slowly follows, Haruka would begin to see more and more things not present in the real world, like buildings, stairways and doors, one of which she goes through and appears in another part of town as an Anoi disguised as a police officer and another two as a couple notice her with more Anoi as they all chase her.

She is cornered by them but she suddenly gets catapulted into the air by a panel on the ground. She lands on the top of a building, but the Anonis follow her. A Donblaster appears out of nowhere and fires upward, opening a panel in the sky and transforming Haruka into Oni Sister. Haruka initially freaks out upon seeing her reflection but discovers she has enhanced strength and can fight in this form. She finds an invisible bridge and attempts to retreat by crossing it, but the Anonis smash it. She almost falls before successfully making it across the crumbling bridge. Upon making it to safety, Haruka drops her gun, and its gear dislodges from its slot, reverting her to normal. Then an exhausted Haruka tries to comprehend the earlier situation.

Personality

The Anoni are somewhat fickle creatures that serve the strongest side of a battle. While they typically fight for the Hitotsuki that summon them, they will immediately turn on their summoner so that they would serve their true masters which happen to be any Noto general that enters the area in question.

The Anoni demonstrate a harsh territorialism and will pursue anyone who is able to see their true selves regardless of whether or not they mean harm. Despite this, the Anoni are shown to behave otherwise identically to real humans, as shown by one answering a call and only showing hostility once a person sees though their human disguise.

However, in certain matters, the Anoni can demonstrate a peaceful personality to humans who can see their true selves should the circumstances allow them to act in such a manner. TV STORY-Don 30: Juto Hunter

Powers

An Anoni disguised as a human

• Human Disguise: They are able to disguise themselves as humans in order to hide themselves among the human world's populace so that they would always be ready to assist the Noto whenever they are called. However, their disguises would fail if they are seen by the Donbrothers wearing their Airfly Sunglasses.

Abilities

• Infiltration: The first episode reveals that the Anoni have taken over the world of Donbrothers in some currently unknown capacity as they had successfully impersonated police officers, famous fashion models as well as high ranking officials in the fields of business and politics by using their human disguises.

Weaknesses

• Juto: The natural predators of the Anoni. They have the ability to see through their disguises which had enabled the aforementioned creatures to easily find them so that they could devour the Anoni themselves.

Arsenal

• Ano Hammers (アノハンマー, Ano Hanmā): They wield hammers in combat.

Design

The Anoni are based on the Antmen in the 1972 Toei Tokusatsu Series, Chojin Barom-1.

Etymology

• The Anoni's name comes from the word "anonymous", referencing their ability to disguise themselves as ordinary people.
