Akiko Inoue (井上 亜樹子 Inoue Akiko), also known by the pseudonym Aki Kanehiro (鐘弘 亜樹 Kanehiro Aki) is a Japanese novelist and screenwriter.
In 2025, serves as the head writer of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. She is the daughter of writer Toshiki Inoue and granddaughter of Masaru Igami.
Biography[]
Inoue had been interested in writing since childhood and originally aspired to work at a publishing company. However a story she wrote in college received high praise from her father, pushing her to pursue novel writing instead. She began using a pseudonym to avoid being labeled as "the daughter of Toshiki Inoue", though Akiko later went public with this after having already established a name for herself as Kanehiro. She wrote the Decade novel with her father's supervision.
Inoue has written episode scripts for anime such as Scarlet Nexus, One Piece, and Sword Gai: The Animation, with the latter title having been adapted from a manga originally written by her father.

- Akiko Inoue's participation in Gozyuger was due to her association with producer Daigo Matsuura through their work together in Kamen Rider Gotchard. While the filming crew held a celebratory dinner party for the end of the filming, Matsuura asked Akiko's father, Toshiki Inoue (who was also present at the party), for his permission in inviting her to the then-upcoming filming of Gozyuger, who readily gave his blessing without hesitation.[1]
