20th Century Studios, formally 20th Century Fox Film Corporation (or simply 20th Century Fox or just Fox) is a motion picture production company founded on December 20, 1934 out of the merger of Fox Film Corporation (founded in 1915) and 20th Century Pictures, Inc. (founded in 1932).

Popular franchises under the 20th Century Fox umbrella include "Star Wars", "Ice Age", "X-Men", "Die Hard", "Alien", "Night at the Museum", "Home Alone", "The X-Files", "Predator", and "The Chronicles of Narnia" (which was previously distributed by Walt Disney Pictures). Some of the celebrities to come out of this studio were Shirley Temple, who was 20th Century Fox's first movie star, Betty Grable, Gene Tierney, Tyrone Power from The Mark of Zorro, Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield.

Scrat, from Ice Age, is considered as the mascot for 20th Century Fox.

In association with strategic partner Saban Entertainment, 20th Century Fox produced Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie (1995) and its sequel, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie (1997).

On December 14, 2017, the Walt Disney Company announced that it is acquiring most of Fox's parent company, 21st Century Fox, including the film studio. Despite a bidding war from Comcast interfering, on July 27, 2018, Disney came out the victor of the bid and purchased Fox's assets for $71.3 billion. The package deal includes a 60% holdings stake in Hulu and the rights to Fox's films for IP rights or for distribution such as with the 1990s Power Rangers films. The merger was fully completed on March 20, 2019 after a security exchange review by foreign government regulators to approve the deal.
